For the record, Danger has a strained ligament in his foot which has never been serious enough to warrant a rest but it is affecting his speed and agility. It'll heal on its own.

And how did you come by this info good sir?
If it affects his speed and agility, how doesn't it warrant a rest?
It's not an injury which will be exacerbated by playing. It'll get better when it gets better. Overall, danger is a beast a no sore foot will stop him. This is not a long term issue as far as I'm concerned, he's getting close to 100% fitness, just not there yet.Wouldn't it heal on its own faster if he was resting?
A friend of the great man himself.
So by the Collingwood game he will be in full fitness?A friend of the great man himself.

Que?I have a serious mouthful of aeroplane jelly right now
As far as I know. My impression though is that he's not bothered by the foot, it's just a standard footy jiggle. He admits he's not at his best but needs help from the rest of the team.So by the Collingwood game he will be in full fitness?
Makes no such assumptions at all.Makes the assumption that previous selections were correct.
I wouldn't be so sure. Laird was moved to the forward line last week, because Jaensch, Brown & Reilly were all preferred as defenders. To me, that says that he's the one who is barely holding on. According to Noble (or was it Harper?) Grigg was effectively dropped for Martin last week - he didn't fail the fitness test, they just wanted someone with more pace (ironic, given that Martin lost all his pace with his knee injuries). It definitely won't be Laird
If Grigg is fit (still needs to pass a fitness test then Radar goes -IMO
You are reading it wrong. Laird is being rewarded because of his versatility. Sando made special mention of the role Laird played up forward and how he liked the mosquito fleet we had up there. Now if Reilly was able to play more than one position his place in the team would be more secure.I wouldn't be so sure. I'm not saying that I necessarily agree with the selectors on this one, I'm just reading the tea leaves. My gut feel is that Reilly is still ahead of both Laird & Grigg and is the least likely of these 3 to be dropped.
So Danger is given leeway to perform well below his best because he's carrying an injury, but Reilly is given none, despite being 2 games into a return from injury which kept him out of the game for almost a year and ensured that he didn't play a single game during the pre-season? Talk about double standards. If you can demonstrate it's overdone, that's fine. Happy to read. His performance was pretty bad last week though, so it's likely to be topical. Turn overs through the corridor, and getting run down in scoring range are big no nos.
I'm not deflecting anything from Danger's performance this year- it's been below his standards, and he needs to lift. I suspect he's carrying an injury. Looked positively ill at times last week.
You've repeated the same lie twice now.So Danger is given leeway to perform well below his best because he's carrying an injury, but Reilly is given none, despite being 2 games into a return from injury which kept him out of the game for almost a year and ensured that he didn't play a single game during the pre-season? I thought I was watching an episode of Once Upon a Time.Sounds legit![]()

You do realise Reilly's form against the Saints was on par with 2013? All of a sudden he's going to recapture 2012 form when he didn't have an opponent? And yes I do trot that line out because it is a fact. His 2011 was shit. His 2013 was shit. He's been average this year.I think he can get back to his best, and if he can he most certainly has a spot in our best 22. He wasn't great against St.Kilda, but he was nowhere near as bad as many on here say. However, if his stays at last Sunday's level or declines then he could very well find himself out of the side (which I wouldn't be upset with).
I expect more from Danger than I do from Reilly. I am sure most rational people would.
No shit. Of course our chances of winning a flag would be greater if we had more players similar to Danger than to Reilly. But in case you haven't noticed - superstars don't grow on trees. Players of Danger's calibre are pretty rare - so it hurts us a team a hell of a lot more when Danger doesn't perform than when Reilly doesn't perform.
You keep trotting that line out. Haven't heard that line in reference to Jaensch this year. Nor Henderson last year.
To your little 'accepting mediocrity' dig. What bullshit. Brent Reilly in our team is the reason we will never win another flag?
B grade. Not C grade. His 2012 was outstanding. His start to 2013 was poor, largely the result of Sando getting the pre-season completely wrong. Then he got injured. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his form prior to 2012 either. Reilly is currently 3 games into a return from long term injury. He deserves to be given the opportunity to get up to speed.Reason is Danger is a proven A grade elite player of the competition
Radar is a C grade role player who has been inconsistent since the back half of 2012
You can take your spin on the move, I'll take mine. Either way, I'm expecting both Reilly & Laird to play on Sunday, with Grigg missing out.Vader trust me Laird won't be dropped and is very much regarded as best 22
Laird's move to the forward line was more to do with a strong need (tackling pressure) for the forward structure and the coaches trusted Laird to play this role
Laird's move forward also showed the versatility that is mow needed in a player considering the interchange cap with this in mind players like Laird who can play multiple roles and play them well are high value to the team
He was poor in 2011. He was our tagger and was horrible.B grade. Not C grade. His 2012 was outstanding. Now, he may or may not make it back to where he was. If he doesn't, then so be it. But he does deserve that opportunity.
Spin? Are you sure you are not dizzy? Sando gave the reason why he was moved and it worked. You can take your spin on the move, I'll take mine. Either way, I'm expecting both Reilly & Laird to play on Sunday, with Grigg missing out.
Gotta love your spin though.. Laird's move is because he offers versatility, yet when players like VB & Reilly get moved around it's because they're not good enough to hold their old position. In all 3 cases it's because Sando wants to achieve a certain team structure and these players get given different jobs because that's the best way of fitting them into Sando's jigsaw.
