I have been thinking about this since I read it a few hours ago.

Asking myself am I one of those posters?

I'm not because even missing the 8 would not bring about the end of his tenure so it moot.

However I would be happy to miss the 8 this year it it made them all wake the f*** up to the fact that they cannot allow opportunity to slip through their fingers by playing shithouse football for a quarter here and a quarter there.

As of right now we are on a road to nowhere for 2014.

What will change that outcome in 2015?

My faith is being replaced with fear.

2009 - "I want to create a learning environment for the players to be the best they can be"

5 years are they the best they can be?

I have to say no.
Good post

Last Saturday I was ropable and stupid after the game and will now throw away my phone after a loss. But of course I want to see this team play finals this and hope we make an impact. I fear too that we are content with being a middle side rather than going that extra step.

Do you think it might prompt some players to look for opportunities else where? I mean, it's a very 'bitter' pill to swallow knowing that you are busting your arse off, but mediocrity is being constantly being rewarded for an entire AFL season and that is what is keeping your from playing/debuting
you mean do a "Cruise", yeah that worked out well.

Who the f*** is Kayne Turner, know nothing about him, can someone fill me in on his talents !?!?!? Daw had to go, Mullett appears to be the new revolving door/scapegoat, from Rising to Fading Star in a year, wow !!!!!!

Is not Lachie so is good.

I don't think anyone sets out at the start of a season and actively hopes for their side to miss the 8.

It's probably more to do with the idea that making the 8, to make up the numbers, to exit out with a drubbing, and to bandaid over gaping fricking cracks in the team gives certain boneheads more fodder to give Brad a reprieve.

And enough is enough.

I don't give a flying f*** that we are eighth now, which is better than tenth last year. Who gives a rats about that?

We've got roaches this year, better than rats last year. So we'll be in a mansion next year? Turn it up.

People are fed up with comparing pathetically sh!tfully small incremental improvements that mean NOTHING outside of the year at hand, which do NOTHING but buy an inadequate coach more time than he deserves.

So like I said, nobody wants the team to finish low. But if they're going to stuff it up when they're capable of a lot more, only to reflect back on the year satisfied that 'we made finals', then maybe they do need it to be really bad before something is actually done.

Who are the shit house players and which players are a better option? Discuss.

Doesn't Mullett a more natural half forward than defender? Being played out of position imo.

so what did you mean, who has recently left that was a part of our future?

Luke? but most have said he was a dud
who else?

I never mentioned any names, it was an open question. A simple yes or a no would have been suffice with a possible reasoning if anyone thought certain players might feel compelled to leave for greater opportunities if a team showed interest in them. Imagine if wood hadn't of signed a two year extension or daw for example. You could assume a team like the dogs would be keen

It won't happen.

The only way it would be for me not to watch at all.

My frustration level with the team is huge.

I understood gifting guys games under the banner of development that banner is gone now. However the team is Hotel California for some of these blokes, they can get in but they can never leave.

A premiership will be won this year.

Won by a team with a profile only marginally different to ours.

like the Eagles reference OF
they penned a few lines for our match day form too

But every mornin'
I wake up and worry
What's gonna happen today

Any of our senior leaders that have had the chance to stand up and show the way in games and not taken it.

Explain to me why Sam Wright (who is a f***ing superb kick of the footy) cannot do so under pressure? Is it because we kept putting him in situations where the weight of the game was completely on his shoulders until we made him that devoid of confidence a guy who is a great kick turned to shit?

We had a period where Jack Ziebell was passing the ball of 45 meters out. He kicked goals further out than that as a junior. the reason given when asked was "we don't want to kick long points". In a tight game do you know the sort of confidence that comes from kicking a long goal? How great was it when Carey did it?

This group as a whole seems confused. I have watched as opposition players carry the ball past North players who are too scared to leave their man or the grass they are defending to actually effect the game.

In round 2 2011 Boomer called out players saying when are they going to stand up? We are 3 seasons on from that moment, new players in the side and we still get exposed.

Last Saturday when the heat was in the game and the umpires were clearly calling anything and everything to benefit players in hoops. We needed to be clean under pressure to take away any reason for them to call a free. I am not sure if it is how we are coached, I am not sure whether is is inability in the players but we do not have the ability to consistnently move the ball cleanly under pressure.

Against Carlton they chipped it around us and we just chased tail all night. Do they players even know what to do to mitigate it? It's happened repeatedly. Who do we have that will stand up and be the general when whatever we are doing isn't working?

In the times where we have been outclassed for a quarter by a shit truck side its on all the players. THe only ones that get a pass are those in their first year, not going to throw them under the bus. Most of the others should be better in those situations. The coaching should be better in those situations especially after it happened once.

We have a team who collective seem to think that near enough is good enough, a team where no one has the stones to stand against the tide.

The players I beleive can actually handle pressure when a big game is on the line are few and far between.

Boomer tops the list but can go missing. The bloke that tops the list (hes a legend) can go missing what does that say about the rest?

I trust Lindsay to kick clutch goals but it falls away pretty quickly on that front.

Our list is not top 4 and out depth is average. We have lost our best CHB, his back up and the back ups back up. Our B&F from last year and our quickest player has missed most of the season and our captain is returning from a very serious injury. We have changed our game plan and made it tough for our forwards. We are 6th. I don't think this has been as bad a year as some are making it out to be.

^^^^^^^^^^^

It smacks of being over coached and the game plan being to rigid.

Guys that are out of form just need/want to be dropped

Scott has tunnel vision on his perfect side and hardly ventures away from that narrow minded view.
Will be interesting if any coaches leave tbe club at seasons ends
