I thought the training track part was the funniest. Yeah, Mason, look. You've played great footy 10 weeks out of the last 12, but you know... we're just not quite convinced that you've presented well enough on the training track this week. So, no soup for you.

He is second-guessing himself with everything he does on the field now. Not sure if that is part of why he doesn't run defensively, but he now lacks the confidence to go on a dash run with ball in hand when he has space or to contest every mark within reach. All I see is a player with his confidence shot to bits at the moment. And the same player still has a multitude of things to work on to become a regular senior footballer. And he will make it too if things work out for him with his court case and he gets a full pre-season.

Will not see Dumont/Wood until 2015 sadly

I see you too have been reading the In The Mix page TheKanga. Dumont is tired from getting too many possessions and needs a rest. Wood is unwell from the leather poisoning he has been suffering. And Harper is still in counseling as he deals with an emerging identity crisis over whether he is a forward, midfielder, or defender. Luckily we have some VFL players who hardly touched it on the weekend who will be nice and fresh for a call-up. I fancy there is going to be some serious cracking of the shit come tomorrow evening.

Fair point. There is certainly a dash or two of wishful optimism in my outlook, but he wouldn't be the first big guy to take five or six years to come good. TBH I like him most as a ruck man and would like to see him have a bigger role on the ball as he has done his best work there this year, but spends so little time giving Goldy a spell. Anyway, like with Harper, has another year on the contract and needs a good run of health and fitness so he can have a full pre-season. Then the proof will be in the pudding.

Wood simply has to get a game. Black has been putrid/injured(apparently). Dumont can come in for whoever. Adams, Bastinac. It's just time to change some things. Will be nice to get Wells, Grima, Tippet, McMillan and Nahas back over the coming weeks.

Seems as though Dumont was wearing the orange top at training today with Wilkins, Bmac & Beast. Let's hope that's not a sign of where he'll be playing this weekend!

This made me imagine something funny. Brad brings the pink jumper over to him to which Dumont says "I'm not injured". Then he brings Drew over and he jumps on his foot. "Unlucky, you would've been in the side this week if you didn't get injured". Says Brad as he walks off giving Patch a wink.

Until Grima/Tippo are back we start ultra defensive and then Petrie can push forward and get dangerous. We need him down back so he is in the game.
