You are devoid of any balls...

Just trying to see what the coach sees

After all they instruct the players watch the players both at training and playing and make decisions on how the players carry out their instructions

That is how you think they would choose a team, where some posters will say did you see the game, the coaches see every move a player makes and actually sees if that player carrys out their instructions, it may give you some insight into why maybe EH or Jones was omitted or why players are picked

Instead of some guess by a BF poster picking players

Are you aware of how a coach wants a player to carry out his instructions on how the team should play????????

So you have not clue... yet feel the need to comment like you do.

Happy to critique others, but have absolutely no guts to post your own team.

Betts Jenkins Douglas
Milera Walker Lynch
Atkins B Crouch Seedsman
Smith Keath Laird
Brown Talia Keath

ROB CEY M Crouch

Greenwood Gallucci Gibbs Kelly

In M Crouch Douglas Hartigan
Out Sloane Murphy MacKay*

For clarification:
Sloane/Murphy for M Crouch /Douglas - is what I think they’ll do.

* MacKay/Hartigan is the move that should happen, but I have to seperate this due to the DMac running patterns factor

If the Club really wants to engage with its supporters, it should allow Bigfooty posters to turn up on selection night.:thumbsu:

I actually genuinely believe there would be fist fights. Not between the Crows staff and posters, but amongst the posters.:drunk:

Campo would get a hammering, surely?

With that said, I could see Campo and Mackay double teaming against a few posters.

I genuinely think they could sell seats in an auditorium if they did selection live. lol.

If BF posters are involved (based on the number of posts in our changes threads) this could be like the draft.
A 2 day event

You lock Bigfooty Crows posters in a room for two days, you better be sending body bags to West Lakes.

Especially if they know their usernames. :drunk:

I only critique others going on what it appears those who know what is going on are doing

Tell me if you have the insight into the players like McHenry for example, is he doing exactly what the coaches want him to do, with their game plan or is Mackay trying to play the style that the coaches are after

This is where logic is flawed it looked as though Sauce Douglas Pohlkoke where the best performers in the twosbut in the coaches eyes they may or may not have been, Andy Otten maybe the most impressive who knows.

I guess looking how they select players gives you an insight into how the coaches want players to play, as Mackay gets chosen so often, you would say that gut two way running is a major reason he gets picked and we don't have too many others than can do that without blowing up.

No, you name me your 22 before I answer anything!

All comes down to fitness so its hard to pick until we know who is available

Harto after being replaced by mackay in if fit, Crouch in Depending on fitness

Sloane out if unfit

Murphy out omitted

That would be it, Douglas, Sauce and Pohlkoke if continue with form will be pushing for selection, but no doubt injures will come into play and ROBs lack of ability at the top line

Name your 22 as you don't have 7 forwards!

What are you on about

Harto for Mackay (did that matter last week)

Greenwood Mackay Seedsman Milera Betts ROB Walker JJ Lynch Gibbs Galluci

Can all play up forward at some moment in the game, so Ive actually named 11 that may or may not play up forward

Do you think there will be 6 named on the field and one on the bench and that will be it???????????

For the most part Mackay has a role and plays it well, just don’t have him down back as a defender, that clearly doesn’t work.

Have to agree with everyone on Atkins back. Looked horrible out there. Fumbling, not contesting, easily pushed off the ball. His head just wasn’t in it.

The problem is that he finds the ball and is often at the drop or contest but then stuffs it up, if only he managed 80% DE then he would be a dead set gun.

He is the only one in the team that can run both ways and hard , so is relied upon to both defend and attack, Seeds is great on the attack aswell as atkins but when that gut running is required to run back with pace they don't have the engine to do so, not only that he isn't afraid to drop in the hole and put his body in the way, as we have seen on numerous occasions

FWIW, my take on the Twos:

THE OLD DOGS
- Sauce; Spent 70%+ time in ruck, dangerous when forward BUT he is anchored to the ground and will struggle at centre clearances against athletic ruckmen. I would play ROB against GWS and then bring in Sauce against the Tigers
so ROB has a three week break.
- Dougie; I wrote him off in the pre-season but was a class above and he showed plenty of zip, definitely a chance.
- Otten; looks better as the grounds get heavier, will not let us down if needed due to injury to key defenders.
- Wilson; having a magnificent season, might even get a Magarey Maedal vote (just one) but well back in the shuffle.
- Hunter; More leap than Sauce, would not be the worst ruckman to play AFL but unlikely to play for us.
- McAdam; Smooth operator, will be a handy AFL player if he can reach AFL fitness levels
THE YOUNG BUCKS.
- Stengle; It is a tough life playing as a deep small forward. He has some faults but he kicks goals. Possibly give Eddie a rest this week and see how he goes?
- McHenry Jones; Both played a combination of wing and inside mid. Chayce is sooo classy but THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT NEDDY.....
- Poholke; He kicked three of his goals when playing on the ball. Not a small forward in the AFL but he will develop into a good AFL inside mid, possibly not with us.
- Himmelberg; Played well, looks like he will start to rip apart the SANFL
- Fogarty; Played his role, did nothing wrong. He needs to find a way to get more involved but HE’S ONLY NINETEEN..
- McPherson; I said after his first game last year that if he stays healthy for 6 games he will be playing AFL, then he blew his hammy in his second (and last) game for the season. I have seen nothing to change my mind. He is a Rolls Royce (or possibly a Fiat Sports, performs beautifully but somewhat prone to breakdown). His poise reminds me of a young Ben Hart. Please stay healthy
- Davis; Played mainly on the wing and is as smooth as a racing tadpole. He has great skill but looks oh so casual, great potential to be a future whipping boy. He is getting closer.
- Butts, Sholl, Hamill; IMHO not quite ready yet but showing fantastic signs.
- Strachan; A long shot but has shown some good signs.

the powers that be will probably bring in Hartigan and Mackay, but for me;

In: Jacobs, MCrouch, McHenry.

Out: ROB(rest), Sloane(inj.), Seedsman.

ROB needs a rest, Sloaney needs a week off at least for the hammy and Seedsman looks underdone - was very slow

Atkins's stats for the Demons game flatter him - I thought he was awful, he is close to getting the chop too. Murphy's stats on the other hand aren't a true reflective of his effort - he is becoming a very, very good player for us - no way i'd be dropping him.

For the in's - We need to see where Jacobs is at, I'd give him a couple weeks and see who will be our best ruck option for the remainder of the year - ROB or Sauce. MCrouch is an automatic, no explanation needed. McHenry needs to be unleashed - I'm dying to see what he can do and seems versatile - could fill a gap on any line.

It's hard to know what to do at selection as there are so many players who are inconsistent and no youngsters banging down the door demanding to be selected.

Out: Sloane
In: Jones (It will be Douglas)

That’s a great idea “Town Hall Selection Night” everyone votes for ins and outs.

Can you imagine the poster that says I want Mackay in? FFS glory be. There would be head high tackles.

FYI, Im sure you already and others know. Some of the players can fight, it may suprise you which players do martial arts and can fight and arent the potato they appear to be.
