If you think Knight stopped Selwood then good on you, but he still had near enough to 30 touches.

An in form Knight would have his hands full with those guys, an out of form Knight would have his career ended.

I assume your commenting on the round 17 game last year where Selwood’s 29 possessions included 6 clangers, 63% de, only 3 clearances and he gave away 3 frees for only 1 received. (Crows won that game)

Last year’s game is a great example since you draw attention to it. Most people would consider that doing the job of curtailing Selwood’s influence.

I was more thinking of r18 in 2017 where Knight held him to 26 (Crows also won). The Crows and Cats also played in round 11 that year, although Knight was absent. In that game Selwood turned in 35 possessions at 88% de with 10 clearances. (Cats won that one).

If we were going to tag it would have been Kelly, Cognilio or Taranto (how ****ing good is their midfield....). Whitfield would have got off the leash and really hurt us. Massive out for GWS and my fantasy team.

At their peak performance they are the best midield in the AFL. Problem for them is they NSW players. In Victoria they would be considered the Holy Trinity.

I think that’s pretty close other than M Crouch and Hartigan should be in the mix.

Yep. Douglas was very good last week though.

I love what Murphy brings, but he might be in danger also after a very quiet game.

Those changes are going to make us slow as a wet week and we don't have the skill level to make up for it.

I'd leave Jacobs in the 2s for a week, but I bet we won't. Give ROB a week off after this one on a 5 day turnaround.

Dougy deserves a game but it should be at the expensive of a senior like Mackay, who was diabolical early last week.

Can't see any youth getting a go given the 5 day break. Not gonna be a pretty place tonight this one.

I thought we played great football vs West Coast. We lost because their goalkicking accuracy was better and we couldn’t match them in the clutch last few minutes.

I thought we played awful football vs Melbourne. Our worst performance since the North game. We won because their goalkicking accuracy was terrible and they choked in the last few mins.

Therefore I would largely revert last week’s changes which made us much worse.

Out: Jenkins, Gibbs, Mackay
In: Himmelberg, Jones, Hartigan

Any injury swaps go like for like. Eg if Sloane is out and MCrouch is in.

If we bring last week’s lineup, or god forbid go even older and slower, it’s hard to see GWS not slicing us up for an easy win.

Mackay should be out for Hartigan. They have some real forward targets and Harto has to play if he was omitted for team balance.

If Sloane plays I reckon Gibbs may make way for M Crouch.

More based on a rumour I have heard than actual performance and will be disappointed if that rumor is confirmed if Gibbs does not play this week.

Next week is the time to bring in guys like Stengle and maybe whoever performs best out of Jones/Ned/Knight.

Douglas for Murphy is also a touch worrying. I know he had a good game but Dougy is neither a pressure forward nor a goalkicking small. No real issues dropping Murphy but I'd go a younger player as an inclusion
