I think that’s a good pick up - he was diabolical v WCE and only marginally better last week.

He’s clearly viewed as a best 22 player so assume he’ll get some more time to find form.

He certainly deserves far more scrutiny than he’s getting

He's one of my faves but I was just above that dropped mark v WC and i'll take some trust building again. Prob stays as Atkins ordinary and soft but if it's fitness rather than touch I hope he's not being rushed back. He had a long time off.

I hope he does. I'd be happier if he comes good rather than not too, and a lot of players develop at different rates. Andrew McLeod averaged 10 disposals per game in his 20 year old year. At 21, he lifted this to 17.

Thommo didn’t average 20 until his 6th season which was his second or third with us. Was only just over 20 as well, 20.2 I think.

We would be stupid to drop Gibbs who can cover one of their dangerous mids (probably Cogs) & play both Sloane & Mrouch, under injury clouds.

Absolutely, We have the need for speed.

Many options assuming Sloaney and Mrouch are fit.

1) ROB or Sauce; ROB is a good match up with Mumford, possibly Sauce plays against the Tigers due to 5 day break.

2) Jenkins or Himmelberg; Jenkins earned another game but the acid is in him.

3) Hartigan, Kelly, Milera or Mackay; Pick two defenders to join Brown, Talia, Smith, Laird and Keath.

4) Mrouch for ????. We need to find another role or drop one of our inside mids; Gibbs, CEY or Greenwood.

5) Outside mids, pick three from Milera (if not in defence), Seedsman, Atkins, Gallucci, Mackay, Smith and McHenry.

6) Small forwards, pick two from Players not selected above plus Betts, Murphy or Stengle.

In - Mrouch, Hartigan
Out - Mackay, Atkins

That won’t fulfil our need for speed!

I know the NRL is different but some players this season have had minor hamstring strains and played the following week.

Maybe but if you were placing money on it you would say he will miss, the crows seem fairly transparent when it comes to letting out if they are playing or not almost every time theres doubt, they don't play if they say early in the week they will be right they usually are

They are saying they will leave it to the last minute to test him meaning he aint ready today, I guess he could progress in a day but its a big ask

I have a bit more time for Dougie than most here but I think the time has gone since he can have a lay off and come back in after one game. Those players not in our first 8 picked should do a couple of weeks in the magoos at the least. Adding to that, Dougie would be huge in comparison to an SANFL midfielder, he should be knocking it out of the park to get noticed.

Poholke has been consistently good in the SANFL
If we need a midfielder ie no Crouch or Sloane he would be very much next in line
I think he has played better this year.

JFC he is 20 and is starting to carve up SANFL and is on the periphery of our 22, you don't delist him now when he has made a massive improvement on last year. Like if you said "use him as trade bait to upgrade a pick" I'd understand, that is tough list management, you make tough calls but delisting the guy after what he has shown is just madness.

Like if you said "use him as trade bait to upgrade a pick" I'd understand, that is tough list management, you make tough calls but delisting the guy after what he has shown is just madness.

"what he has shown" in the SANFL... when that translates to the AFL I will get off his back.

Crouch has missed 3 games in a row and Poholke hasn't played. I don't think he is best 25 at this stage.

He's played 11 games and clearly hasn't done enough to keep his spot longer than 2-3 games in row. True signs of a player who needs to do a lot more work to be a consistent AFL player.
