Murphy is the new Atkins.
Petrenko you mean. Minimal impact but coaches love them.

Murphy is the new Atkins.
Douglas was a large class above SANFL last week, it's not a shock at all.Ok. Greenwood being dropped - harsh, but fair, we are one inside midfielder too heavy with the addition of Crouch, and CEY has been performing.
Mackay being "dropped" - "yay"
Gibbs being dropped - I don't get this one. Played well, and as much as I'm all for a rebuild, those aren't rebuild ins. If something is wrong in his life, don't ******* select him every second week.
Matt in - good.
Hartigan in - I get the rationale here, and we were scored rather easily on by Melbourne, and having a second shutdown defender will free Keath up.
Douglas in - Sheesh. He is cooked beyond all belief. Utterly atrocious selection, especially when there was an opportunity to play someone who needs the game time more (i.e. Jones/McHenry).
What is really good though is we weren't completely stupid and didn't select Jacobs.
2 games in 5 days, that's a factor.

He’s our only player who can take a big grab inside 50Greenwood is a bit limited fitness wise and I guess they thought we were inside heavy with Matt returning. Dougie over Gibbs is disappointing. Thankfully no Sauce yet and Dmac dropped is a good thing. I know they’re different, but I’d prefer Hugh over Murphy at present. I wonder if Greenwood is being penalised for opening his mouth about not being offered a contract yet.
Why ??Then stick him in the forward pocket ......
Selections this year are messed up. Club playing favourites. Makes no sense.Hey guys, just trying to wrap my head around the Greenwood decision. When we played you guys two weeks ago I thought he was your best (certainly your best mid), and whenever I catch Adelaide games I just see him ripping through packs to get the footy. I didn’t think he was poor last week by any stretch.
What am I missing here that they’d drop him?
Hang on..... no Jacobs
Because he's still playing SANFL this week.Agree but then wouldn't Hugh be listed as "managed" instead of "omitted"?
Or do we not do that?
We're putting games into Jones, but 2 in 5 days is a fair bit.Glad Gibbs and MacKay dropped.
Would've kept Hugh in.
Ridiculous Douglas selected, ffs he should onky get a game if we are decimated by injuries.
Put games into Jones and co, we are so dumb at selection.
Also a 5 day break to consider too. Better to give him this week off and consider him next week than try and get him through both coming off 8 weeks off.Obviously spent a fair bit of time up forward last week so still gaining match fitness. My money is still on once he’s in he’s not going out.
Greenwood faster than Dougie? Ummm no.Lol, what is the gain in dropping Greenwood and bringing in Douglas?
Douglas showed at the start of the season that he's completely lost all the speed he did have and now his brain fades are even more prominent. Greenwood would be faster than him, is taller, better overhead, better in close and a better tackler. It makes no sense.

He will be gone at years end.Obviously spent a fair bit of time up forward last week so still gaining match fitness. My money is still on once he’s in he’s not going out.
I'm a bit mixed on Greenwood, more than many here. I think he plays REALLY well in the wet or late in matches when the heat is out of the game but he's often pretty invisible early aside from laying a couple tackles. That's not to say I like who they are bringing in for him I find that utterly astounding but I do feel Greenwood needs to win more of the ball when the heat is really on. Still his versatility to go up forward and maybe grab a goal or two should see him remain in.Hey guys, just trying to wrap my head around the Greenwood decision. There's clearly a plan
Will get another contract. Get campo out of the club.Does the selection of Douglas mean the club still thinks it's a premiership chance. Maybe they need to watch the 2017 GF replay.
This is madness.
