Douglas has been mediocre, at best, for the last 12 months - why is he back in?

McHenry, Jones, Wilson all talked up and performing extremely well; barely get a look in.

There is no plan.

Maybe I wouldn't have brought Douglas in but I don't know if you watched the SANFL game or not....Douglas was absolutely dominant on the weekend.

Gibbs is tuening out to be a very bad recruitment decision especially with the new rule changes

Im ok with Dougy coming in because he has tagged in past seasons

However i would have liked to see Ned come in and give Murphy a spell

I can't say I would ignore the welfare of a player if they thought coming home would help them get their life in order. There's always a human element to consider.

Why draft Mchenry then not play him when in form. Same goes for Stengle. Same goes for Fogarty. Seriously can't understand how Murphy keeps his spot when he has no impact the last couple of weeks. Such an average player. Greenwood should have played. He is the only one who can take a contested mark.

Have you watched Stengle in the SANFL? He kicks goals, but he is in no way going to replace what they keep Murphy in the team for at the moment.

I can see why Dougie is in. He was pretty decent last week and with my eye test at the game quicker than Poholke. Dougie was everywhere. Although I would have gone Poholke.

If we want to beat GWS Jones and McHnery are not in the mix.

You mean like the way they kicked Yarran to the curb, well, traded him to Richmond. Never played a game for Richmond.

I doubt anyone would consider Carlton and ethical as words you'd ever really associate together

I think Jones is unlucky to be out of the 22 ... but he is a first year player, so we can pick and choose a bit which games to blood him. McHenry will get his chance, as will Stengle.

Fogarty we are all so impatient about because of his upside ... but the guy is still 19 years old

I can see our chasing speed being an issue, but if we let the GWS boys run at us we are dead anyway.

I thought a forward was meant to kick goals.If Murphy is in the team for pressure he doesn't do that either. As far as I can see he runs around expending energy not influencing the game and not kicking goals which is a forwards main role.

Murphy has 9 shots on goal over his last 3 games, but he is there for defensive pressure. He's top 5 in the league for inside 50 tackles, we have enough issues keeping the ball in as it is.

As for Greenwood, is he really offering less than Atkins or Murphy? Poor form seems very harsh

He can’t run anywhere near as hard as Rat but I reckon he’d be a better option up forward than Murphy at present.

He panics every time he gets it and gets brushed aside every time he tackles. If that sort of player is a ‘solid piece’ in our side, we might as well not bother

Considering Jones has played what, 6 of a possible 11 games that part isn't true. Wilson is also nothing more then a SANFL player.

McHenry however is very baffling, was a perfect opportunity to blood him for a few games.

6 out of 11 isn't that impressive.

Wilson deserves an opportunity, he's been one of our best SANFL players for years. Why do we draft these guys if we aren't going to give them a chance at a bloody career?

There were rumours about his personal issues - if they AFC weren't aware of them, it is pathetic; if they were aware of them, and still made the trade they did, then they're incompetent and stupid.

No. Its all about contested marks. Goals are irrelevant. We probably would still have Modra at current age in this team.

If a forward doesn't provide pressure then they are next to useless. It is the main complaint everyone had about our forward line and murphy is the best at it.
