do you know who GWS got for these picks? We gave up our 1st round selection plus our compensation pick for losing Davi$ to GWS. We got Brown & Crouch in return.
Our 2011 pick #10 became Liam Sumner.do you know who GWS got for these picks?

The Brodie Smith throw call from 70 meters away by the non-controlling ump when he clearly tapped it, Dave Mackay's 50 meters for a regulation spoil attempt, Jordan Lewis getting bumped in the head by his teammate and scoring a free for it, Cyril getting a free because Mackay and Danger collided with each other near him, Buddy's headlock on Rutten. Too many to list.
Nicholls is a blatant cheat. Clear worst umpire in the league. If we have drawn him again, we are screwed. Razor makes an enormous number of shit calls and absolutely loves the spotlight, but he seems to dick over the whole league fairly evenly. Nicholls is just a cheat who plays favourites.
Need a big effort from the 19th man. Expect a few shit calls early, however, as they attempt to show that they're 'not going to be intimidated by the crowd.'

The Phil Davi$ compensation pick was activated in 2012 and subsequently became pick #20. It ended up in the hands of Collingwood, who used it to draft Tim Broomhead.
I thought the story on here was Collingwood gave him the offer first and then Tex rang the club and said you'd better take me now before I go to Collingwood.IIRC that's not entirely true - we noticed him because he sent us a tape of his performances; I believe he also sent that tape to Collingwood in an effort to get drafted. We were just smarter / quicker (and lucky as hell he barracked for us as a kid)
Is this midfield not the centre bounces? Isn't that where we'd want Laird tagging him? I do, however, agree that we may have the advantage up forward - if it's relatively fine and not too wet underfoot - otherwise it may work to their advantage.I know it's not the way Sando likes to role, but we MUST keep the pace on this game and turn it into a shootout.
The Hawks have a decimated backline, so our forwards should be too much of a handful if given plenty of quality delivery. They don't have the talls to cover Tex, JJ and Pods so we need to take advantage of this. I think our backs should be able to break even with their forwards.
With Kerridge out we don't have a shut down mid and with Sewell out I think we can afford to go head to head in the midfield assuming Thommo and Danger are good to go. However I would consider putting Laird on Mitchell when he's in the midfield (not centre bounces though) as he would not be giving up too much height.
We should get plenty of run and carry from Hendo, Smith, Jaensch, DMac and Martin. So I think it's crucial these guys keep the pace on the game to ensure our forwards get plenty of supply. North seemed to do this well. If Hill doesn't play, that's a big bonus for us in this area.
We need to capitalise on our strengths, and in this game our tall forwards is it. It's been a long time since we have considered our outside run as being a strength, but I think in this game it is. If I was Sando I would be pumping up our 5 run and carry players and our 3 key forwards for a massive game.

I will lose my shit. Do not sit next to me.I wasn't able to make this game due to other commitments, but i watched the last quarter on the television and when that free was paid I nearly destroyed my tv. If something like this happens on Friday, i'm invading the pitch.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Sando will use the big fellas up forward. All the signs point to us being able to stretch their backs and have more importantly expose their lack of hight. Throw in a rampaging Betts and we should have an avalanche of options. The cards are layed out.. This is a game we expect to win, and SHOULD win. Having Hendo down back is a big plus also. Him and Otten having a really good understanding.. Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come.
Yes. Please no more about that ghastly display of umpiring. It makes me too nervous about Friday night. So what do people reckon the changes should be?
sorry, just wanted to show that it wasn't just quality reaming by the umpires but quantity as well.Omg.. no videos of that game PLEASE. I have refused to watch ANY highlights of that terrible day since it happened...

It is looking more likely that things will be wet and greasy on Friday night. Hawthorn are a good wet weather side (check their results in Tassie) and we will have to do everything right to get over the line. Team selection will be very important and I wouldn't be surprised to see a late change.
My wish list includes;
- Absolutely no injured players
- Don't bring back Radar
- If it's really wet, bring in Matty Crouch instead of either Truck or JPod (preferably Truck).
