For what is is worth, I have found that Walker tends to clunk marks as he strings games together, as was evident late 2012 whilst at his best.

I expect this to improve dramatically in the coming weeks.

After checking the stats, he average 1.9 in 2012, compared to 1.6 this year.

Averaged 2.66 in the last 6 games of 2012

Ok - so in the Lynch appreciation thread last year when you were arguing Lynch was better than Gunston, you did remove Lynch's stats from the GWS game when he kicked 10.... Didn't you?

You know because he was beating up on weak opposition and all.
lynch isn't a 32 year old despited player, and his goal tally isn't what makes him a gun player.

Keep trying:thumbsu:

Ok, for the games in which Pods and Walker have both played…and only those games, Pods has taken 56 marks, Walker 48. I'm sorry I don't have the number of contested marks for you so take from that what you will. But as I understand, it matters not because you'd drop both Tex and Pods. Oh dear. Oh ******* dear.

I'll wait with bated breath in anticipation of your next instalment.

Actually, no I won't.

It is not Tex's fault pods anchors himself in the square because he can't play anywhere else, and thus most of the ball is directed towards him. He has taken 8 more marks than walker, and half of the marks pods takes are when he goes back to be the loose man. Oh what a player! And when did i ever say we should drop tex?

Put it this way. Would you rather pump games into a McKernan who wont be on the list next year and have someone who can lose you the game on the field?

Or would you rather win games and possibly make the 8 with Podsiadly?

They are your two options in reality, as we are playing to the structure that's winning us games.

The same structure that has won Hawthorn games, and Sydney 11 straight games (you know those two sides sitting a few wins ahead of geelong?)

If you cant see what Pods offers, then you don't understand football.

I would rather us play the structure that is most effective. Pods isn't involved in that.

And what a great achievement it would be to scrape into the 8 whilst playing a delisted fossil. We should be exposing the players that will be a part of our next flag challenge

You are 12 right? And anyone over 25 is ancient?

"walker- not mobile, and can hardly run"…you want to play this player?

…no, don't answer that. The less you post the better.

According to Kim Dillon on AA we may have to play Talia on Franklin ....
Maybe got confused when watching "Last time they met"

Pray for rain, people. Rain will help us win this game more than any changes will.

Says the man with a seat undercover ;).

I do however agree that wet slippery conditions will take away some of Hawthorns advantages.

An accidental JPod elbow to Gunna would also help to swing things our way. Unfortunately there is a equal chance that one of our boys will cop it.

Just quickly.

The only time JJ, Tex, Pods and Lynch have played together are rounds 15 and 16 vs Port and GWS (win, win.)

Let's test the structure before you hypothesize on which is and which isn't our most effective structure.

you might be right, but if anything that's just an even bigger indictment on our midfielders' kicking ability.

all of them out-classed by an 18 year old rugby player, unbelievable.

Its one kick. We have had a number of good ones this year, but yes our midfield efficiency has been down.

I put that down to crouch, lynch and hendo coming back into the side, than structure.

Our structure is two KEY forwards, and a third tall in lynch, a small forward in betts, and two resting mids.

Sando has changed our strucure so he doesn't have to drop his buddy o pal. If Mckernan was putting up pods numbers, there is not a chance in hell he would have stayed in the team this long, and not a chance in hell he would be staying once our three forwards were fit.

How podsiadly wasn't dropped after the freo game was complete bias

Earlier in the year also, it was a disgrace when johnston got dropped. Im not a fan of johnston, but he played well in the first 2 games of the year. Pods played 2 absolute shockers, and johnston gets dropped. Completely biased selection

Johnston has poor defensive efforts that hurt his chances of playing AFL ever again. well that's the way I see it anyway.
