and we paid for Brown and Crouch two first rounders in effect.

NEVER IN ANY GAME have i ever known or had a desire to know who the umpires are ......they could be mickey mouse for all i care
When the day comes that players are perfect on the field with decisions, marking & kicking ....then i'll pay attention to the umpires
Did umpire cost Collingwood the game against GC
Clinton young? .....what about forwards not able to hit the side of a barn?
But our society is conditioned to blame the person in charge .......PM, Bosses and umpires .....it's about our process of de-stressing from life
Geish very deliberately did not look at decisions that cost Adelaide goals.Even the umpiring director admitted after that final that there were something like 15 incorrect calls against the Crows. And it wasn't just the incorrect calls, it was the non-calls as well. I have never seen such a blatantly unfair display of umpiring before or since. We were r*ped. I don't often whinge about umpiring, but there was a real case for a replay after that farce.
You had to be there to see just what a rotten, stinking pile of poop that umpiring performance was. None of those umpires should have been given new contracts. None of the three should ever have umpired another AFL match.
It is instructive that the three were dropped from consideration to umpire the grand final the following week.
Yeah, good post, but Taylor W was a project player we took on as a kid and nurtured. The scheme no longer exists.

Jack Gunston was a pretty handy pickup too.I was looking at the Crows team on the weekend and there are some great draft steals. Players who were taken very late in the draft over the years but have gone onto become good players for the Crows.
Taylor Walker - 2007 National draft (pick 75)
Brodie Martin - 2007 rookie draft
Rory Sloane - 2008 National draft (pick 44)
Ricky Henderson - 2009 rookie draft
Matthew Jaench - 2009 rookie draft
Matthew Wright - 2010 rookie draft
Luke Brown - GWS pre-list trade
Brad Crouch - Mini-Draft
Rory Laird - 2012 rookie draft
I'm still surprised he looked at the match at all. Was a travesty, and I remember his Monday effort of "yeah Adelaide got screwed" - doesn't ****ing help us now you twat.Geish very deliberately did not look at decisions that cost Adelaide goals.
If you've nothing constructive to say suggest you p... Off back to your own boardJack Gunston was a pretty handy pickup too.![]()
The afl are trolling us...The trifecta, are you ******* kidding me?
Imo if there is a huge disparity of an umpires free kick for v against either for or against a particular team, they should be banned from umpiring that team.Even the umpiring director admitted after that final that there were something like 15 incorrect calls against the Crows. I hope you are right!I think so, I went to the official appointment site and nothing there.

Posters on the hawks board seem to be dreading those (alleged) umpire appointments. Did any of them watch the 2012 prelim?! Even bloody Port fans were laughing it up about how badly Nicholls rolled us.
And then this complete momentum shifter from last year, courtesy of Razor Ray.
...god Dermie is a moron.
Lol they had to have a Vic team there though, they aren't sorry for that. Pull in the crowds.I heard that the club received an official letter of apology from the umpiring department after that game.
Nicholls and McInerney were. Donlon was the other.
Chamberlain umped the Round 6 game last year where Thommo got screwed by the horseshit push in the back call near the goal square.

I don't understand why you want to change a set up that is working. I like this set up so much that I would like to see Sauce take Pod's role once Pod retires. Sauce also has the ability to play up forward take some marks and kick goals, fill a hole down back and be a link man in the middle. To facilitate this we need to procure a decent standard Ruckman to take 70% of the taps. That would be the hard part. A Ruckman like Mumford would have been ideal.
You say Pod's role has been created for him, I agree. I agree because I see this role as an important part of our team's attacking setup. It is a role we have not really seen before Sando "created" it, and it is working.
"Leading tall that can push up into stoppages" sounds like a forward flanker to me or at least the modern interpretation of forward flanker.
Lynch is not a tall target and he averages 20 disposals since he has been back so Pods isn't hindering his chances of getting the ball, JJ has kicked 29 so he's alright at getting some ball and Tex is still getting back to his best which will take time and Pods is relieving him and taking pressure of him. Face it Pods is in our Best 22 and he is an important player to our structure this year.A flanker is not a tall player. They are traditionally a small player who can kick long goals and rove packs. They have gone the way of the dodo, as midfielders need to rest forward
Guys like Gunston, lynch, goldsack, winderlich, Kersten from geelong, watts, Goodes, darling are not flankers, they are third talls. Big distinction
Pods role was created not because it benefits the team, but because sando doesn't, and can't, drop his mate. He is not a part of our future, its a waste of time directing the ball to him and not walker, jenkins or lynch. He is a poor decision maker, and about the only thing he can do is take a contested mark
Lynch isn't a key tall target, never said he was. He is a third tall. Third tall isn't a key target, but they can still be a target. Pods on the other hand is a KEY target, the get out kick target. You do realise the third tall and a Key forward are different positions?Lynch is not a tall target and he averages 20 disposals since he has been back so Pods isn't hindering his chances of getting the ball, JJ has kicked 29 so he's alright at getting some ball and Tex is still getting back to his best which will take time and Pods is relieving him and taking pressure of him. That may well be the case, but not really relevant. Taylor Walker was signed as a NSW Scholarship Player a couple of years before his draft year. As such, Adelaide were able to use their last selection in the draft to place him formally on the list. He wasn't a "steal", in that none of the other clubs overlooked him - they never had the chance to draft him.If that 2007 draft was done over again, Walker would be in the top 5.
Pathetic.. How the hell can Dermie even try to defend that crud?
There's no doubt that it was a bad decision and Chamberlain is a major show pony. However, unlike Nicholls, I don't believe he shows any bias towards (or against) any particular club - he's equally good/bad in his decisions no matter which teams are competing. The Thompson free has to be the softest push in the back free I've ever seen. Disgusting and a really bad look for the game. If I we're the AFL I'd be docking that umpire's pay at the very least. That sort of shit hurts the brand.
