I can honestly say I don't care what Hinkley or this side does anymore. Wingard dropping out of the side because of "signalling" (meaning he could have easily played if required) and playing Aaron Young in an 8 point game just shows exactly where these campaigners see this list. They don't think it's good enough, so why should I?
Gees i can remember Ginever playing with injections in his ankle, Russell Johnston playing in a wet suit top to keep his shoulder in. Piss weak now.

Question : Was Butcher delisted because of his set shot kicking ???

Westhoff has been one of my favs for a long time and the amount of times i have defended him, i can't remember. So where does that leave our Hoff, he has become like a dear in the headlights of late and his set shots are as poor as Butchers if not worse. Does he need to be dropped for Howard.

and we'll get what we deserve if we keep picking players not in form!

Am I the only one who has zero interest in ever seeing Jesse Palmer in a Power guernsey? Outside of one good mark in the Showdown his performances last year made the S. Garys and Ah Chees of this world look like world beaters. He wasn't 'not quite good enough', he was nowhere near good enough.
I want to see Palmer get at least a couple of games this year. He's one of the many that we need to decide upon. I'd like some more idea if he's worth giving another year (certainly not repeating the Neade mistake of 2 years off of the back of not much). And we've seen there's just too much difference between SANFL and AFL to make a real determination of that without seeing him at the highest level again. Certainly with us having a longer break between the bye and finals, we should be looking to play more players to keep the list fresh, so there's no reason not to do it.

Hard to say on Palmer, but like every other young player he gets to play forward pocket in our mostly dysfunctional forward line. They all look better (including S Gray, Ah Chee etc) further up the ground.
I wish we would just pick the best forward, rather than try to make midfielders forwards, and half backs midfielders because we have too many.

He was our emergency a few weeks back so that must say something, oh wait he was in form so he didn't play.

After reading the Maggie's thread,

Out Westhoff and young

In The Monf and Eddie.
This!
We need genuine forwards who are in form.
Young is totally out of form, and Westhoff has never been a KPF - and after his kicking & lack of confidence should never be allowed up forward again.

Hartlett needs a rocket - Houston or Toumpas in.

Was at the Centrals match at Alberton and no-one really yelled pick me. We were adequate and as usual outmuscled a team in the third quarter. What was disturbing was Centrals run out of the backline and that is our problem. In the SANFL run out of the backline may not count for much but in the AFL it does. Also, if you do not tackle in the forward line you are going to be looking at a lot of ineffective inside 50s.

Spot on otherwise we will have another Cam O'Shea on our hands.

Palmer plays tall for his height and has a great pair of hands on him. If I remember correctly, he needed to work on his engine which sounds like what they are doing with him in the SANFL.

Has broadbent been any better than Hartlett over the course of the year?

Say what you like about Hartlett's game but at least he didn't gift the best player in the competition a 50 metre penalty for absolutely no reason. I'd absolutely drop Broadbent before Hartlett.
