I guess we're just really committed to seeing what Sharp can do, because we gave him a 3 year contract for some silly reason.

Christ we have some deadwood on the list.

EDIT: Actually, I can't find info anywhere that confirms Sharp's contract length. Few posters have said it was 3 years, but I can't find an official source.

EDIT AGAIN: Found an Age article saying 3 years. Will update the relevant threads.

He was still contracted for a year when we got him, so given that plus his age, plus his contract likely being fairly cheap, it wouldn't be a shock if we had tempted him over with the extra 2 years on top.

Sharp also had to uproot his life and move states. He was an emergency for a premiership team so it’s not like he was completely on the scrap heap at Brisbane.

I think Sharp could be useful if the sub rule is scrapped and they go to 5 on the bench. Use his speed for short bursts throughout the game.

As a list call Sharp made complete sense with the loss of Nibbler.

A moderately skilled player who can run all day. I’m not sure about Sharp’s top end speed vs. endurance which I thought was his key strength. Like Tomlinson and Tmac were endurance beasts like Sharp is, but top end speed those two weren’t good (clearly very different sizes to Sharp though).

It hasn’t worked out that way so far no matter which way we look at it.
