I guess we're just really committed to seeing what Sharp can do, because we gave him a 3 year contract for some silly reason.
He was still contracted for a year when we got him, so given that plus his age, plus his contract likely being fairly cheap, it wouldn't be a shock if we had tempted him over with the extra 2 years on top.I guess we're just really committed to seeing what Sharp can do, because we gave him a 3 year contract for some silly reason.
Christ we have some deadwood on the list.
EDIT: Actually, I can't find info anywhere that confirms Sharp's contract length. Few posters have said it was 3 years, but I can't find an official source.
EDIT AGAIN: Found an Age article saying 3 years. Will update the relevant threads.
Sharp also had to uproot his life and move states. He was an emergency for a premiership team so it’s not like he was completely on the scrap heap at Brisbane. He was still contracted for a year when we got him, so given that plus his age, plus his contract likely being fairly cheap, it wouldn't be a shock if we had tempted him over with the extra 2 years on top.
As a list call Sharp made complete sense with the loss of Nibbler.I think Sharp could be useful if the sub rule is scrapped and they go to 5 on the bench. Use his speed for short bursts throughout the game.
Tom FULL CREAM Fullarton says hi.I don't have a problem with Sharp. He's cheap and good depth. Plenty of other dead wood id move on before him

Footywire often misses new contract info when players change clubs, I've been caught out by it before. 2025 is the end of his original Lions contract.Footywire says 2025, though I'd be surprised if he moved without an extension
