No.So we're not rebuilding?
Absolute rubbish, if Garner was as slow and fumbly and as far off it as Broadbent was we'd be saying geez, maybe he wasn't quite ready, not quite up to the pace, but that wasn't the case.Except that didn't happen.
If Broadbent played the game Garner played and Garner played the game Broadbent played, the reaction would've been the same.
Garner did well but some of the commentary here is over the top and classic shiny new toy syndrome.

It's like why is it ridiculous for a 2nd gamer to push out Broadbent?'Very consistent player in Broadbent'
He's played two games since 2017 and hasn't played a good game since 2016.
should have done this long ago. But this is why under the
show we will be nothing but a Mediocre team with glimpses of what could have beenBahahaha, oh dear.. Pretty much every point is way off...Garner was very good last week but it’s a tad ridiculous to expect a second gamer to push out a very consistent player in Broadbent.
This is an absolute must win game, so I expect us to take zero risks. Giving Garner another week would have been nice, but I’ll take the W tyvm.
Losing Lycett is annoying but I suspect we’ll be fine given Ryder could probably ruck all game if needed and will have Ladhams to help him out.
Having Robbie and Jonas back is just wonderful for our chances. I still think they will be hard to beat particularly with the way games are umpired in Tasmania, but I’m hoping for the best.
About time too. What's going on here? Club goes from telling the truth on Tuesday morning about changes to lying right before the deadline.
You know me too well RossFChaha as soon as I heard the lies being made, I thought of how happy you'd be with the coaches throwing curve-balls for once.
What? No it wasn't
Is it time to raise Butters mid minutes? Was impressive in one of the JLT games in there.Am more disappointed about Atley dropping out, as I feel we've interrupted the balance of in/out mids by doing so.
Yeah, but thats kind of why it worked IMO. We managed to phase out Primus instead of having a black hole. We need to be phasing out Ryder now.I don't know what your memory of it was but my memory was that it didn't work. Admittedly, it was never really attempted when they were all on top of their game. They only played 10 games together - 2 in '03 and 8 in '05, by which time Primus was more or less cooked.
I think with Robbie its probably one of those `coin in the air' things. With iffy form before injury, he should come back through the SANFL...but its Robbie Gray. I'm sure we'll hear about it if he goes goalless, or worse, kicks 1.4It seems I am the only one melting over Robbie and Jonas - which is a good sign. I would prefer see them playing for the Maggies this week, but that's me.

All things are possible, yes. We'd hear about it even more if we lose by 4 points and Robbie kicks 5 in the SANFL
If we had the custom of getting players back through the Maggies, it would be considered normal. We would see it and think: "Great! Robbie is ready."We'd hear about it even more if we lose by 4 points and Robbie kicks 5 in the SANFL
If they are out for a couple of weeks it's not a problem. Guys that have broken legs or do ACLs though should be eased back via the Maggies. If we had the custom of getting players back through the Maggies, it would be considered normal. We would see it and think: "Great! Robbie is ready."
We don't have the custom, though. So I get why his selection is fine for most people.
Garner is a Hawthorn supporter. His brother is part of their NGA system.
Dropping him is probably more so Clarkson doesn’t get any ideas. Besides, it’s Hartlett that will take Broadbent’s spot. Garner needs to wait for Byrne-Jones to stink it up.
Lienert is in Burton’s spot now, IMO.
