Prediction Changes vs Hawksthorne

Hawthorn's small forwards are what most worry me. Breust, WIngard and Pupopolo (who hasn't been in good form but you know ...Ports), even Impey. Not sure I want slow players in the backline. This is why Broadbent concerns me.

I'd rather Trengove in over Atley or Drew atm. I reckon he's looking really sharp. Always good for a goal or 2 as well.

If we were playing for a flag Trengove would probs be in, but we are way off it, so Atley and Drew need games under their belt for the long run.

If Atley or Drew do enough to make it look like they are not getting a gold pass, I'm happy with giving one of them games.

Wingard in good form? And from what I've seen Impey has been playing in defence.

Edit: Impey played 80% defensive half last week but 72% forward the week before kicking 2 goals.

For all the 'brave' BS we have heard over the years, I seriously doubt the coach is that brave.

If Lycett is fit to go then play him. No worries.

But if he's not in good enough shape this week, Don't push him through it, especially with Ladhams as our 23rd or 24th best player available at the minute.

There have been a few options to fit Trengove into the side but Ken appears to have a youth first policy this year which isn't a bad thing. Trengove and Mayes appear to have been overlooked in favor of having a look at some younger players. It will be interesting to see if Ken sticks with it this week. Jonas and Gray will probably be back but at whose expense?

Saying this, Ken brought his name up unprompted this morning on SEN... often this would suggest that there is very strong chance that he is right in the mix!

Mayes was BOG in a trial game vs South, but I haven't really seen a performance from him that reached that standard since. If he can replicate that game then he'd be putting some real pressure on.

Trengove should be playing over atley. Trengoves ceiling is much higher, I dont rate Atley at all.

as a key forward... while proving Ken correct that he wasn't there as a ruckman.

At least then dixon, frampton and hoff or doogle could have rotated through instead and cover each of their positions (hoff down back when doogle is in, frampton forward when charlie was in or vice-versa).
Instead we just left our forward line bare or hurt our defense when we had these guys going through. Massive contributor to our failed season last year.

I imagine (size wise, not ability) Dixon playing CHF Vs SANFL opponents would look a bit like Shaq playing NBL lol.

Dixon is an enormous unit and would look huge running around in the SANFL

IMO Yes. He replaced Marshall. It's more Farrell, Atley, etc that mightn't have got the chance.

id be giving him at least 2 weeks at sanfl level, firstly to see if he is still dropping marks and secondly to see if he can absolutely dominate a game at that level
