Macrae, Bont, Smith and Treloar should be enoughInteresting to say the least.

Baz back this week?Macrae, Bont, Smith and Treloar should be enough
Yes he should be back ..Baz back this week?
And it was interesting (we were the number 1 clearance team in the comp (clearance differential) before the Crows game)
We are 4th, you are 3rd.
100%, Bont is in some serious form, a freak.Yes he should be back ..
Yes it would be better to have Libba, but should still be able to win without

Scrimshaw played today... not sure him playing a full game is that scary100%, Bont is in some serious form, a freak.
It should be a good game however, for us we have a potential 4 ins (if you care) Lewis, Day, Ward, Scrimshaw.
Scrimshaw played a half a game out of position as a forward and did pretty well, his last full game he had 25 and a goal, his ball use and composure off HB is huge, a great kick.Scrimshaw played today... not sure him playing a full game is that scary
Lewis is a worry but he's been out for some time so may be rusty
At Launceston it would be more of a concern
Pointless playing West and hoping he plays midfield, no way bevo plays him there.Ins Smith and West not that he really deserves a game but we need find out how he can play midfield at AFL level.
Outs Libba and Mclean.
How do you feel about Geelong at GMHBA then? That should worry you more.Scrimshaw played a half a game out of position as a forward and did pretty well, his last full game he had 25 and a goal, his ball use and composure off HB is huge, a great kick.
Lewis is a worry for you guys but as you said we don't really know what to expect at all, but stars like that idk again it is a huge in.
Day big in and Ward aswell with his class/workrate much missed today.
Being at Marvel def makes me worried, don't like it haha
I don't like Marvel or GMHBA, Marvel because you're amazing there plus its a super hard turf, and it worries me with some injury prone players for us with Wingard and Lewis's knees. How do you feel about Geelong at GMHBA then? That should worry you more.
Handy very handy ins.100%, Bont is in some serious form, a freak.

Probably doesn’t know too much about that, they’ve only played there 3 times this centuryHow do you feel about Geelong at GMHBA then? That should worry you more.
100% our strongest team, honestly have no idea who will come out, some very stiff boys, especially after the Adelaide game.Handy very handy ins.
Seems you may field your strongest team this year with some of those ins?
Yes, so his average is skewedHe played 7 games last year not 1
I’ve thought this before about Naughty, he would be an absolutely imposing figure to face up to - more than just a big body too I actually think he’d be really good at it, like you said he can scrap with the best of them. I’d love to train it as an option when we’re being carved up/bullied in there, just to change things up or when Marras on and we clear out the decks for him (which we’ve done at various times)I remember we used to play Luke Darcy at centre bounces in tandem with Wynd. I wonder if we can try some out of the box move like Naughton in at the centre bounce. The guy is a beast on the deck so will scrap with the best of them. Also not in favour of West. If he’s not good enough to get a midfield gig in the 2’s, aren’t we just setting him up for failure by putting him in the 1’s with no form to build on?

With regards to West I’d imagine the idea is that we want him playing forward in the twos because that’s where he will play at AFL level, I don’t think it’s because we think he’s not good enough, he’s obviously better than the VFL mids who were in there in front of them, I mean the kid finished 2nd in the VFL league best & fairest early days and has easily been our best performed midfielder over the past few years, he can definitely play midfield at that level that’s never been in question.
I recommend people refresh themselves with Wests draft video, I’m not saying that means absolutely anything at all for his future at AFL, obviously not everyone can replicate their junior form - but it’s a good reminder of his attributes/strengths against similar level opponents, he’s a midfielder through and through and at some stage we need to test him there at AFL level to see if he has a future or not. He has some serious upside, he’s definitely stagnated but we need to get the best out of him instead of putting him in the too hard basket and shipping him off to another club. There is no one else on the list that can replicate Libbas ground level attack, vision and clearing handballs - except possibly West in the future.
I have no doubt Naughton would be elite at the centre bounce but I never want to see it. The guy puts enough stress on his body by jumping as recklessly as he does that making him do it more is a recipe for disaster.I remember we used to play Luke Darcy at centre bounces in tandem with Wynd. Libba out vs anyone else is an issue.
Against Day/Worpel/Newcombe/Nash not really a worry
Obviously football isn't won and lost on paper however when Ward vs Baz is the best match up for them shows the massive gulf between the 2 midfields. You should be right. Except for the nightmares of the penultimate round in 2021, when we thought we'd weather the storm of being beaten by Essendon (and Bruce going down) by going to Tassie and cementing our top four place by beating the Hawks. Then got towelled up by Daniel Howe. Daniel Howe!
Now this game is at Marvel, English is a completely different player, Bont is at the peak of his powers etc. But I hope the team isn't being complacent, because while Adelaide might not be in the top tier of midfields they're no mugs, and that Hawks group just went with them until the last few minutes.
While we are at it lets bring back Kieran Collins was huge in the u18s as well
I don't think he is a lost cause no,So without the sarcasm. Do you think West is a lost cause? Do you believe we should persevere with Hannan and McComb?
Mabye your right on West.If he was banging down the door he wouldn't be ostracised at all.
I think a few would just like to see him once given an opportunity.A whole game in libba's position.
Then we all know. And can move on.
Or celebrate a new era
I suppose though AFL football is very intricate.
And team planning can't revolve around one component.
Yeah but also there’s the aspect that he is a young guy who hopefully has a higher ceiling than those twoI don't think he is a lost cause no,
Do I think he is miles off being an AFL footballer yes,
Should McComb and Hannan continue to get games over him if they are performing better at VFL level Yes.
The only reason people want to see him given an opportunity he hasn't earned is because of his last name.
That's an interesting idea. What would his role be? A defensive or an attacking midfielder at centre bounce?Just to clarify, I mean Naughton as a centre bounce midfielder, not ruck.
