Yep: Neade's tackling pressure has been through the roof - especially in the Showdown. I hope he stays in the side.
With 3 tall forwards potentially in the side, if he somehow still makes the team and doesn't play as a KPF he'd come to greater use in a different part of the ground.

Like on the 23 second mark here. Neade on the wing runs to half forward, chip to Motlop, chip to Sammy Gray(on a lead, not on top of his head), goal. Simple footy.

Steven Motlop had 5 possessions yesterday lets Neade bash

It’s not Neade bashing when people are pointing out Neade is underperforming, with stats to back it up.

Motlop should be on the chopping block with a 5 disposal game but he has been far better than Neade across the past 3 games. More disposals more inside 50’s and more goals. Lol.

I’ve simply said Neade is a 25-30 list type who people should expect to be discussed in these threads every week he turns in poor to average performances.

I like Neade and I like what he brings to the side but Marshall is just a better player and offers more. If Todd is ready I'd play him, but there is no way we rush him in after the circumstances he's been through. Give him time, he will come good.

Honestly there's not much else about this side you could change. Depending on how the Maggies go you could look at bringing in someone like Johnson (if fit) for Neade but I'm not too fussed. I wouldn't touch the defence as they look very settled at the moment and completely destroyed the Suns. The midfield is starting to look very nice with SPP and Rockliff fit and firing. It's honestly just the forward-line that could use some tweaking, e.g. bring in Marshall so Dixon and Watts can **** s**t up again.

Sam gray keeps kicking goals but gee, if a back man or midfielder made half as many mistakes as Sam does they would be banished to div 7 amateurs forever.

He is getting by on virtue of getting on the end of 17 chances we create and turning 2 of them into goals while destroying the other 15 entirely. One of the culprits (of which there are many) of our poor conversion of forward thrusts to goals.

Very safe in our 22 today but he is far from one of our best. Pittard gets crucified (rightly) for making 1-2 errors that Sam will make a dozen of week in week out. I would love to be a forward in the afl.

Sam has just about the best forward craft of any of our forwards bar Robbie when he is down there. He gets on the end of a lot of our chances because he knows when and where to lead and if anything makes our forward thrusts more potent because he presents a hit up target while a lot of our other forwards wait for the long bomb. His skills do let him down at time but he is one of the more important components in the forward line and is nowhere near going out of our side.

I think we can actually run with our 4 KPD’s. Doogs and Clurey and very fast and have big tanks. They make having the 4 very viable. Doogs is as quick as any small forward going around and Jonas can play on small or tall.
I think we look incredibly rock solid back there with all 4.
For me it’s Neade out and Marshall in. Or if AJ is available, I would have him ahead of Neade.

I don't wanna drop either of them lel

Leave our best forward of 2018 in the SANFL then and continue to give games to a bloke with 9 times more career games experience but one third of the goal average?

Neade hasn’t done anything wrong, it’s just that Marshall is more versatile and needs to be in the side. He offers everything Jake does but is taller.

I now think Pittard will only come in if Bonner starts getting tired in the back half of the season - or if his form is so off the charts that we have to bring him in. If the side was humming on all cylinders he’d be an asset but it’s not at the moment.

The one player I think might surprise people after the bye is Broadbent. With Hartlett out, there’s a spot for him as long as he’s fit and firing. Apparently he’s running now so it’s all about doing a preseason.

God NO. He was average before injury.

He definitely needs two years in the SANFL to find form and fitness

No way is Marshall coming straight back in against Hawthorn.
He will come back through the Maggies and gain some form and match fitness.

There is a Maggies game during the AFL bye.

He can play for the Maggies next week and play for the Power the week after.

Neade possibly wants to kick a goal or two against the Hawks but think he's still safe for now. Marshall perhaps still no reason to have any pressure or expectations just yet.

It is Tasmania it might rain?

I really hope he does it’s not just him it’s the fact Watts can resume his role of 3rd tall much more effectively, which means more goals and stats and that means I can heap s**t on JJ in the Watts JJ comparison thread in the bay

If ken is not going to give Frampton a run in case Ryder has another injury, i want to see Dixon share the rucking duties and leave Marshall, Watts and Westhoff as our tall targets.
Let's be honest, big Charlie is struggling in front of the sticks and taking marks atm, could be the way to go.

Ha ha, Ken will bring back Carlos.
lol yeah “ really like his work in SANFL Karl’s worked his way back with strong form” ....

Rucci :Ken he didn’t play a single SANFL game

“ I really like Karls training form he’s been strong and earnt his spot, he can do two things at an elite level, occasionally deliver accurately inside 50 and hack my web browser history”
