Hey.
Looking forward to the game.
Coming from Perth, l naturally go for the Eagles as well but wil ultimately be hoping for a Lions win.
Watch out we will out up a fight ;)
All the best, l rekon if you can get a gun mid or 2 next year through the trade period or draft then you can probably be in top 6 next season.

Well with the injury to Rosa I am expecting Sheed will get his chance again.

In: Sheed, Bennell, Hill
Out: Rosa, Brennan, JK (susp), Cripps
Don't think with our current form we should be playing one short

I am expecting Turbo FF (rotating Cox and Lycett), Darls HF. You could always replace Cripps with Tunners to add a bit more height.
You missed my point lol

Three ins. Four outs. Haha

You're drunk.

It'll take him at least 3 years just to turn over the rubbish that Worsfold left him with.

It's frightening how bad he has left us, the only joy i get out of this season, is watching St Kilda struggle, and realising that will be Freo in a few years, after Ross Lyon screws them over with poor drafting like he did the Saints :)

What is happening with this Bennell saga? Didnt understand the sub but thought fair enough could be a rotation, didnt understand him being dropped on the weekend but thought maybe he needs a rest-but played in the WAFL? is this a discipline thing? Obviously McGinnity/Brennan and co are getting a look over but why not drop Butler and play Bennel forward pocket?

Time to play a few kids i say!

Out: Rosa ( Inj) JK ( Sus) Brennan, Butler
In: Sheed, Mcinnnes, Bennell, College*

* If College is injured then bring in Tunbridge.

- Give Nic Nat another weeks rest
- Tempted to bring in Sinclair as a forward but would rather see what Mcinnes can do up front and he has been pinch hitting in the ruck at WAFL level if needed.
- Butler has been handy but time to move on.
- Do not rate Brennan that much and rather get more games into Bennell and if not him than Carter.
- Put Sheed in the guts and test him out.
- Lions only have Close and Merret down back so i went smaller down there and put Mcgovern up front. They have smaller forward who will trouble us more so than their talls.

Bennell Emac Ellis
Shep Schofield Hurn

Wellingham Priddis Gaff

Masten Mcgovern Darling
Cox Mcinnes Lecra

Ruck: Lycett, Shuey, Sheed

Bench: , Mcginnity, College, Hutchings Sub: Cripps

You're going to see a lot of kids come in this week - Simmo seemed to be hinting at it in the presser.

Out: Kennedy (susp), Rosa (inj), Brennan (done), Wellingham (form)
In: McInnes, Sheed, Bennell, Colledge or Tunbridge

Inclined to say Cox for NN as well, but who knows what's going on there.

I'm not sure why he or she follows the Eagles, doesn't actually see anything positive in our side.

Probably the most negative poster on this board.
Unlike you I am a realistic supporter and don't accept losses for stupid reasons and I don't accept mediocrity.
There isn't much to be positive about the last two years in reality. We have had two decent years since 2007. Not much since.
Our club is making stupid decisions and right now isn't changing a losing formula. Changing the coach staff was a start but they don't play.
There are a few positives and I highlight them but you don't read all my posts so your opinion is invalid.

I thought Cox was alright considering the conditions - we have such high expectations for the champ that anything below the best is treated as a bad game.
Still, by season's end he must retire or concede his #2 position to Lycett, we can't afford to lose him.

Brisbane won't be easy, saw what they did against North. We play the GABBA pretty well though.

Not too sure what IN's and OUT's will be given I'm not sure how the WAFL went, and it seems there are certain criteria not being met that is keeping players out.

But I would enjoy seeing some kids get a go.

Simpson has to earn his stripes but he deserves at least 2 and arguably 3 years in the job to prove his credentials and have a chance to put his stamp on the list

Sorry but I just dont buy the wait & see approach for first year coaches.

Why appoint a first time coach to wait 3 years to find out if hes any good? makes no sense.
Great coaches make changes from day 1 , they take charge and aggressively stamp their mantra.
Malthouse , Lyon ,Matthews made instant impacts when appointed . 2 years max.If the team hasnt improved in 2 then sorry, out you go.
I was all for a change as Woosha was burnt out, but on reflection Suma may of been the better choice.

Ask Carlton fans how they feel about Malthouse. Similarly, ask Richmond fans how they feel about Terry Wallace. Even good coaches have to start somewhere.

Also - how can you say on the one hand you don't want an untried coach, but on the other hand say Suma would have been a better choice?

None of those coaches made finals in their first year of coaching.

And they're arguably the greatest modern day coaches.

By your responses to my "most negative poster" posts.
You just want the sugar and spice and all things nice version.

Who cares if people accept what is happening and aren't always negative?

It's not like we have ANY influence over what happens on the field, in the coaches box or any meaningful area of the club.
The supporter base is huge and voicing your opinion on a forum is fine, but don't have a go at others if they don't share your negativity and maybe want to try to look at what can be done, or what is a positive instead of the constant doom and gloom.

Just because fans might accept mediocrity at the moment has no bearing on the club or how well we'll perform in the future.

We don't suddenly become Freo of old because supporters accept poorer performances.

Just like we don't suddenly turn into Geelong if we only accept A+ performances every week.

Hey spud.
Read before you post.
He had a go at me to which I responded.
Which I have a right to do.
So sod off and continue being a potato.
He is glad he has a knight in shining armour riding to his rescue though.well done.

What else do you do with first year coaches?

Simpson came in late so didn't have any impact on draft and trading. He also has taken over a team in need of a rebuild.
He is doing a very good job. Did people really expect to be a solid top 8 team this season?
