Hopefully Vardy will be right to go after a week off. Has looked pretty cooked since the Bullies game.

Huge effort from a bloke who has battled to get on the park for anything approaching this length of time previously.

Vardy has looked pretty sore the last 3 games so not surprised.

I expect Mackenzie to either take a few ruck knocks (he did this for EP about 5 weeks ago) or relieve McGovern down back and let Gov go for it. Who knows, eMac may even have a turn as a power forward. Remember - we have been told Mackenzie can play small and tall!

Not the worst week to rest Vardy as Martin is OK but will not expose us as badly as Ryder or Gawn.

Looking at the players around Partington (as listed), there is a load of experience around him so he should be confident and have enough people talking to him. Playing on Bastinac so not the hardest challenge going around for a wing.

Petrie was our better ruck last week anyway. Vardy should've been out on form also.

Don't think we needed Mackenzie in, but with him in must mean Gov will play a fwd/ruck role. Would've rather kept cole in as think we are too tall.

You would think that this doesn't bode well for McInnes. I assume he isn't injured (as doesn't appear on the injury list) and can't get a game when our sole ruck is Petrie and we prefer to bring McKenzie in to give chop-outs with Gov (I presume).

Who should've been dropped?

On effort several players but clearly LeCras and Cripps were poor and their defensive run was poorer. The complete inability of us to lock the ball in the forward line on the (admittedly) few times it came in was problematic. But they didnt give much and haven't given much for some time. I think our small forwards are a significant issue.

Obviously Priddis needed to be dropped. I understand "injury" did that.

I just think the coach needed to make the players accountable and a couple of experienced players who didn't perform might have sent a better message than Cole as the only omit.

Yikes...Petrie as the no.1 (and pretty much only) ruck?!

Pretty happy with my choice to trade big Stef Martin into my SC team this week...he will have a field day.

Surely if Vardy goes out you bring McInnes in and see what he can do...

Not if it's gonna rain

Think that's harsh on Cripps who did seem to be getting back a fair bit. I always struggle to see who's working hard and who's not when watching on tv as opposed to being at the ground but I thought he was one of our better players on the day.

LeCras is probably the one senior player you could make a case for dropping but he'd had a good two weeks prior to that.

Pretty excited to watch this Paddington kid all the Facebook folk are talking about
Dont expect much..it was really a plea for change and development and he was the only one available with some form. Not to say he wont succeed eventually but I would be very surprised if he played an above average game first up. Not many do.

This teamsheet could win in finals. Would be amazing if they stuck with this sort of balance. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I am willing to give Lecras a chance this w/e only because the rest of the team is finally balanced enough to fit him into it. He's still been out of form, but if he can find something this w/e then I'm down with it. Let's make some magic happen boys!
