how many games does one have to play before form stops being factored into match selection?

I reckon it's not just about the amount of games.

Quality counts for a lot.
At his best JK is a match winner.

He's not at his best now but as someone said, still gets the best or 2nd best defender.
If he stays on the park, he will kick us 50 plus goals.

Cole was excellent a fortnight ago against South Fremantle. He was slowed down a bit by a very heavy knock to the jaw after a courageous effort in the back pocket. Next WAFL game he was rested.

Came in for Duggan against Collingwood and thought he was below his best. Hopefully he is better for the run and bounces back. To be honest I was looking at our rebounding backs in todays Beagles game to see who might be next in line because I was a bit concerned that Cole doesn’t give us enough D50 rebound and run. Thought Watson was the most likely looking with Rotham. But I doubt they would drop Cole again after just one game back.

Whilst on the subject of running defenders in the Beagles, IMO Mutimer has improved and has had a consistent year.
Playing as a mid now, suits him better. Has become a bit of a tackling machine.

On half backs, Nelson offers little. Watson long way ahead in all areas.

Outs ; Cripps( inj )- Ryan( sore)
Ins ;Petch -Waterman

I`ve made Ryan take a rest looked to be going at 3/4 pace for a lot of the game ,I admire his courage but possibly needs a rest ..
JK is entitled to a few off games ,there were a few times he was in a position to be used in a goal chain but ignored so did get to dangerous spots ..

I think the goal options have opened up for WCE SO not as focused on just JK to be the match winner ..

^^ Simmo didnt sound all that sure about his ankle injury on Sat on the radio. Said he was "pretty sore"

Hopefully not as bad as that sounds, but doubt he plays this week
