Watching a highlights clip of Waterman;he doesnt seem as clean with the ball in the air as say OAllen.The time and way he goes about it;you dont get that time in AFL.Watson looked terrific in WAFL highlights.Clean on the ground,good in the air,fast and a good tackler.Probably needs to kick the ball harder i.e. at the man not to the man.Its something that WAFL footballers do a lot because they have more time to steer/lob their kicks.Thats why its important to expose young footballers to AFL as quick as possible to understand how much faster it is and how little time you have and not to get WAFL habits ingrained.
