Changes Vs Melbourne Round 20

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

In - Didak, Rusling, Clarke, Richards, Pendlebury (if fit)

Out - Toovey, Goldsack, Cook, Bryan, Licuria

Toovey - Just didn't cut it the other night.

Goldsack - I love the kid but Maxwell should take his place in the back half.

Cook - Liked the look of him but not in the best 22 yet.

Bryan - Didnt mind some of his work the other night but its Guy's turn this week.

Licuria - All I will say is this "Pendlebury".

I would like to see a few more guys in the side but you cant make too many changes. 5 is enough.

So 3 goals wasnt enough to keep him in the side.

You are kidding right

:thumbsu: Exacerely! 'Everyone' has been calling for his head even though he is lucky to play every 2nd week and when he does it is off the bench and then he kicks 3 and is still crap? Game would have been over at 1/2 time but for him, kicked 2 of them against the run of play and with Thomas was one of the few 'small' men to really trouble the Tigers. Leave him in FFS, at least he showed some form, better than every second half sucked retread that we bring back from injury that last played a good game in 2003!

Is a good player but ten minutes bursts off the bench just arnt a good fit for him. He will be the player that allows Daiadk to play up and the field and yes FFS Didaka nd Medhurst van play in the same side.

In: Buckley, Didak, Clarke, Pendlebury, Richards, Brown
Out: Medhurst, Toovey, Goldsack, Licuria, Bryan, Cook

Medhurst - Kicked a few but still average other than just another passanger.
Toovey - My goodness he was woeful
Goldsack - Possibly the worst player to debut this year has the worst disposal of the footy since Andrew Dunkley
Licuria - Thanks Licca but a true club man like yourself will stand down at the end of the year
Bryan - Carlton were right he is crap and Cam Cloke would of been a better option
Cook - Not quiet there I think he will be a very good contributor next year

Bucks in for Medhurst play up forward will be at least an inspiration to play for
Didak in to provide the spark up forward
Clarke at least has some skill and runs hard
Pendles for a touch of class
Richards for a back up ruck man
Brown stuff it why not give another kid a chance

I would also consider Ried coming in for Bryan instead of Richards

That has got to be the most pathetic comment EVER on Bigfooty

You obviously have not seen this kid play apart from Fri Night.

His body is spent & needs a rest. But anyone who saw his 6 or 7 weeks prior knows that he is gonna be a gun :thumbsu:

Hey guys I havent had a chance to read through the whole thread so I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it but Mick said Cloke was tired and could be rested. What do you make of this. You think he could drop one of your key forwards.

IN: Pendlebury Didak Stanley

OUT: Toovey Cook Johnson

Paul Licuria tried very hard this week, despite copping flack from the supporters.

B: O'Brien, Prestigiacomo, Clement
HB: R.Shaw, Goldsack, Stanley
C: H.Shaw, Pendlebury, Lockyer
HF: Thomas, Cloke, Medhurst
F: Maxwell, Rocca, Didak
Foll: Fraser, O'Bree, Burns

Int: Bryan, Swan, Davis, Licuria

It would be batshit insane if we rested Cloke. Give him a week off training if we have to. Hell, give him two. Give him more time on the bench. Play him deeper. Don't care what we do as long as we play him.

F: Maxwell, Rocca, Didak
Foll: Fraser, O'Bree, Burns

Int: Bryan, Swan, Davis, Licuria
He was second in possessions behind O'Bree, I wouldn't be dropping him either in retrospect.

B: Johnson, Maxwell, O'Brien
HB: Clement, Presti, H.Shaw
C: R.Shaw, O'Bree, Clarke
HF: Didak, Rocca, Thomas
For: Rusling, Cloke, Davis

Int: Medhurst, Richards, Swan, Davies

Emer: Reid, Brown, Cox, Lonie, Goldsack

In: Richards, Rusling, Clarke, Didak, Davies
Out: Bryan, Toovey, Goldsack, Licuria, Cook

Pendlebury may be fit, but it would seem that two matches from a fractured foot is not quite long enough.

Toovey only played on Robbo for one of his goals where he put his hands in the back to push Toovey out and mark it. He played on first gamer Stanley most of the game.

Harry started on him and when he ent off Stanley went to him. Stanners was on him for just over a half of the game. He kicked 1 on Harry, 3 on Stanley, 3 on Toovey (just over a quarter).

Changes this week

heres what needs to be done.
in: buckley, pendlebury, rusling, dick, clarke, didak
out: toovey, licuria, bryan, goldsack, cook, obree,

For starters bucks, pendlebury, didak all automatic ins if fit. rusling and dicks pace is essential round the forward lien-too slow with rocca and cloke and even medhurst isnt too quick and clarke i think is in our best 22. Toovey isnt upto it. Licuria and obree past their bests and too slow. Cook-had his taste not their yet though and goldsack shows promise but needs a spell in the twos. Bryan out also becuase we cant afford to have him on the ground even if he is helpful to fraser.

Re: Changes this week

Bucks is playing for Williamstown this week, so sayeth SEN. Wouldn't be surprised if Pendles is held out for another week either, as he's a huge piece of the puzzle going forward. If MM is true to his word, Cloke won't play either. You're right in saying Toovey isn't up to it, and he must be dropped unless MM is now tanking games.

OUT: Cloke, Toovey, Johnson,
IN: Rusling, Clarke, Didak

Re: Changes this week

Just said on the news that Buckley will be playing for williamstown, i dont agree with that, i think if he is fit enough to play for Williamstown then he should be playing at Collingwood, we need him and even if he only plays parts of the game he will be extremly helpful.

Re: Changes this week

I must of missed this. What did he say?
http://www.afl.com.au/Season2007/News/NewsArticle/tabid/208/Default.aspx?newsId=48959

Having rested Clarke for the clash with Richmond the Magpie coach said at least one, possibly two, would be rested for next Friday’s crucial encounter with Melbourne.
“There will be certainly one bloke I know will be rested next week and (Dale) Thomas may be another one,” he said.
“I think Travis (Cloke) is tired as a young centre half-forward at 20 years of age.”
He said young forward Ben Reid and Sean Rusling would be looked at to take on the Demons.

Re: Changes this week

Cox didn't play the second half for Williamstown, sitting out with a hip injury. Unlikely to come in for the Pies this week.

Re: Changes this week

I doubt Licuria will get dropped as MM actually said in the post game press conference that he thought he had done enough to hold his spot for next week.
