No doubt struggled with his hand injury, but Jong did lay 10 tackles, his pressure did cause a lot of turnovers.

In: Macrae, Hrovat, Grant, Biggs.

Out: Goodes, Honey (Inj), Dale, Hunter.

Dale did well and good to get a taste, but kids needs time to fill out.
Bit stiff on Hunter but reckon Hrovats ahead at this stage and a better fit if Honeys injured.

Jong had a bit of a stinker but you'd think his hand will be fine next week, if not Hunter can stay in.

For mine the Goodes and Hunter hate is unwarranted. I thought both were ok. I would like to see Hunter play a full game, he seemed to lack some confidence or something. He was slightly off the pace which makes sense considering how little AFL he has been getting. Cordy had another unique game. We have some good players knocking on the door and we may see some changes. I would prefer we maybe give some sore players a rest, but not drop anyone. Guys like Stringer and Jong really struggled to impact, but I would not drop either. I imagine Wallis and Jong will be much better for the run, Stringer will have a better day out against Melbourne as well.

Out: Goodes. His bigger body is required as relief to our younger players, but lets face it post this season he is gone
In: Biggs. Trusting the BF community on this one whom many say his ressies form deserves a call up.

Out: Honey (inj)
In: Macrae

Out Goodes in Macrae.
Out Honeychurch in Hrovat.
Out Cordy In Minson.
Would like Biggs and Webb in but that depends on who could be injured or needing a rest.

Macrae and Webb are good ins. For Goodes and honey I reckon. Jong out for minno an option

In: Biggs, Macrae
Out: Goodes, Dale

Minson or Campbell in would be nice maybe for someone like Hunter, but I'm doubtful they'll be included based on selections up to this point.

Goodes and Hunter being scapegoated, as expected. Neither were anywhere near as bad as people are saying. Hunter in particular deserves more slack because he's still young and has barely played AFL this year.

Can anyone say with certainty that Honeychurch or Stringer won't play next week?

Took the words out of my keyboard on Wally and Lin.

For me it has to be:

Out - Goodes, Hunter, Cordy
In - Minson, Macrae, Biggs

i'm not a fan of Cordy. I'll admit he has improved on the witches hat he was at the start, but he is a poor ruckman. Need Minson's grunt and edge.

Goodes is probably a nice bloke, but he just doesn't cut it as an AFL player. In the VFL he's great. But he can't make the jump.

Hunter has been bad these past two weeks. Avoids the contest, doesn't do enough.

We need to give the WB jumper to players who are hungry and competive.

Jong played a shocker. Hopefully better for the run.

Bev said in the presser that it was a bit of a gamble and didn't come off but they will both be better for the run. Don't think they'll be dropped.

Dale did pretty well and nice to give him a taste but surely not best 22 yet. Let him bulk up and develop in the twos for the year.
This.

He'll be a good player, but he's not required right now. We should be trying to win as many games as possible, and playing Dale ahead of a Macrae or a Hrovat is only counterproductive to that objective.

Out: CORDY
In: Anyone
Agree. Cordy had 8 disposals, 3 hitouts, 2 tackles, 4 marks and 0 score. He was absolutely annihilated in the ruck and the rest of the team did a fantastic job to get so close. Minson may not be the ideal ruckman going forward but he is miles ahead of Cordy. Cordy is not AFL standard. Minson or Campbell would have done far better. Can't understand Beveridge's thinking.
Goodes also not up to AFL standard and not part of going forward for the future.
Freo given a head start with these two in the team ahead of players like Macrae, Minson, Grant and Hrovat.

Out:
Goodes (Really makes a lot of questionable errors, plus doesn't really have a place in this side)
Honeychurch (If injured)

In:
Macrae (Blinder in the twos, far too good for VFL level)
Webb (Week off done, back he comes)

Would probably swap Stringer for Grant/Hrovat if he's underdone too. Cordy might actually be able to show something next week - he was always going to get hammered today, should match up well on Spencer. Oh, and #aycesexual and all that ;)

Thought Dale was excellent. When he's conditioned to AFL football his disposal and decision-making will shine. Loved his work with and without the pill.

Happy for him to be managed carefully, but I'd be happier to see him get the chance to back up against the Dees.

Agee. I want him to stay. Building some classy user now to go with the hard nuts. Biggs is another one and I hope he gets a crack next week

It's ok taking a risk bringing one back but not 2

Ins: Macrae, Biggs, Minson, Hamling & McLean

Outs: Jong (just get the hand 100 percent), Goodes (served his protection role), Cordy (lets try win the stoppages from the tap), Talia (rest), Honeychurch (rest/inj)

Assuming Jong and Wallis are recovered from their injury, they have to stay in. Bev in the press conference pretty much confirmed they'll play next week after running off some rust this week.

Goodes and Honeychurch (assuming injured) out
Macrae and Biggs in.

On Stringer, I was told by someone who knows him that he has been struggling with an injury over the past few weeks. Hardly training and just getting a game purely on the back of his talent. He might sit out a week to get right. If so, I think Grant comes in.

Out: Goodes (omit), Jong (inj, whatever you want to call it), Honey (if inj.)
In: Macrae, Biggs, Webb

As good as Bevo has been, his ruck philosophy is quickly becoming the laughing stock of the AFL. It's only going to get worse each week aswell, Freo obviously came prepared running setplays for Sandi to Fyfe. Same thing as Armatige and Longer last week but alot more efficient. Each week the set plays will become better and better, until we are forced to either bring Will back or run some hard tags in the mid. And by then Will will be rusty as **** because he spent all year in the VFL. We are going to waste half a year of experience with this flawed setup.

He doesn't give a flying pig what anyone thinks about his ruck strategy. Did everything but Middle finger the guy in the pressa who suggested he consider Minno next week.

Not sure I agree with him or not but I totally admire a guy who backs himself in this much :). His 6th Game as senior coach and any media love-in or buy-in has officially ended!
