Could Biggs play through the midfield at AFL level?
Absolutely.

He's bigger than you think as well at 187cm. An excellent get IMO to help cover murph, add depth through that middle age bracket and to give Dale, McLean, Webb, Hamilton etc time to develop. And all for moving back 2 spots in the draft. Excellent list management.

It's getting more difficult to propose the Ins and Outs each week, which may be a good thing.
I've lost all confidence with the ruck situation so I'm not going there.
Out: Honey, Jong (may have lost confidence due to his hand because yesterday he was terrible)
In: Macrae (too good for VFL and should have got the message re pressure on opponents and slack kicking), Biggs (time to have a look at him)
Unlucky: Webb, Grant and Hamling
PS I think there may be a few carrying niggles: Bonts, Stringer for example

Out: Stringer (inj.)
In: Macrae

At this stage - if Honey isn't right it may be time to look at McLean as a small forward or bring back Hrovat

Out: Honeychurch (inj), Stringer (rested), Hunter (omitted), Goodes (omitted)

In: Hrovat, Grant, Webb, Macrae

Jong and Wallis need continuity after missing a couple of weeks, and Stringer looks sore and in need of a break. Still relatively young to be doing the amount of heavy lifting he does.

Every time of I've seen Hamling he's impressed me. Pre-season I thought he was in our best and he seems to be keeping that form in the VFL. Even back in his Geelong days he was one of their bests at VFL level week in week out. I really want to see him given a crack. Maybe if they want to keep Cordy in for another week it'll at least allow Roughead to ruck more as Talia and Hamling can interchange or something. I reckon Hamling is even capable of playing forward and might be a good tandem with Boyd. Not sure where or how to play him but I do now he is more than handy.

Would prefer Hrovat due to i don't think Mclean has afl tank just yet
he's very close imo

If Stringer is not injured he must play in the winnable games against Melbourne and GWS in Melbourne for mine.

Has there been any update if he has an injury? He was kicking the ball beautifully in the last quarter.

I was sitting behind the bench on Sunday and thought that Cory was struggling late in the game, well he was taken off, limping and speaking to the Physio, did anyone else notice this ?

Outs - Honey (if Inj), Cordy (if Inj), Hunter
Ins-- McRae, Minson / Campbell (whoever is in the good books), and Grant

Also if Jong still has that guard on his hand he can go as well until it comes off, he was average with it on !

Media dude: Do you think in hindsight you could've done something about Fyfe.

Bevo stare of death: this is a team that was one ground ball away from beating the top team. Did you see where they came from after the first quarter? They could've won the game had wallis got that ball and we were away. But you want to look at fyfe. I guess thats your perogative

(Or words to that effect)

Terrific shutdown :)

We saw a bit of Bevo's hard edge then.
Good to see he's got it in him... standing up for his players

In my opinion not only does Stevens not deserve to be dropped, over the last month he's been one of our best players.
He is crucial. He's a wrecking ball in a team of babies.

Got absolutely smacked last week, limped out the game, and was one of our best yesterday, for mine.

There is no way he gets dropped, I'm not his biggest fan and think he will probably be overtaken by better in time but his last few weeks have been very good, 28 pressure acts on weekend, that's huge.

Stringer looked sore and id rather he missed this game (and I'm not underrating Melbourne) to come back and be 100% to smack GWS bare ass

Not sure what our injuries were but I would say

Out Goodes

In Grant.

I don't like dropping players for one week to VFL and then bringing them straight back, not sure what it achieves. Macrae to stay at VFL Level.

Out Goodes honeychurch Jong
In minson macrae Biggs

Out

Goodes - never to return
Honey - injury
Roberts - not good enough
Jong - awful display but clearly injured

In

Biggs - about time
Grant - X factor
Hamling - also about time
McRae - done his week

Like the switch but concerned. That is 3 tackling mids for 1 tackling mid (Biggs) & 2 more outside players. Will that unbalance us too much?

Agree that it's time for Biggs and Hamling MD. Might be handy for Jongy to find some touch in the VFL too.

Disagree on Roberts though, thought he showed some good signs. Reads the ball exceptionally well, and his disposal is good too.

Happy for Cordy to stay in?
