The next call i will make is Nic Nat to be back before the bye. Say play a round or 2 then have the week off. And thats when Oscar Allen will come out.

I don’t think Wce will rush Nic back till after the bye possibly in Rd 15 v Hawks at MCG ..

Having said that I wouldn't waste my time playing him in the WAFL. Give him a longer time conditioning at training then unleash with managed minutes.

So I'm just going off the reports that Willie had a great preseason - how would the two months of no footy have affected his conditioning? Foot injuries seem like bad ones in the sense that they limit your running but not being an athletic type I don't know if there are ways to maintain the gains he would've got from a good preseason.

Really hoping he can come back in and hit his stride quickly.

I’m hoping that it just meant he couldn’t have impact on his foot, but could still ride/swim without any issues. Better than a hammy or something that would restrict your movement much more

I think O Allen could play better than Schofield down back at the minute. Calls for Rotham to play Schoeys role have not watched him play as a keyback during 2017 and 18. He was getting slaughtered and didn't get to play his natural game.
Yep, seems pretty clear that Rotham is more of a Sheppard type than a Schofield type.

I’m not sure what I think about regarding Nic playing Wafl .It would be a big thrill for the younger eagles like O’Neil,Foley and Ainsworth and Bailey Williams and possibly encourage them to play at a different level..

Provided you either find evidence of my supposed anti-indigenous agenda or apologize for calling me racist, yes I will.

That’s an appalling slight on me and I’m not giving a **** about any other deal we have until you retract it.
Miguel did he actually call you racist? If he did, I think HT needs to stop spreading his crap like he always does

I think it's clear this season that the MC is trying to stick with the same squad each week.

If Schomo is sore, Rioli comes in. Oallen might push back. Not sure they'll drop him after kicking 2 goals last weekend.

Waterman was last season's Oallen. Can't wait for the week where they both fire and gives us campaigners some hope after JK.

Hickey and Rioli are certain ins

That means 2 of Vardy/OAllen/Schofield/Waterman are out

Given Melbourne's lack of genuine forward talent - wouldn't be surprised to see us drop Schoey and Waterman

Use Oscar in defence.

He was probably better as a mid in his first year as mid last season. He's also our best best contested mid.

We probably have the match ups for Melbourne even if Schoey goes out this week via injury.

Gov can easily play an accountable role on a tall forward and has done that before.

You can bring in Rotham and he's a pretty decent intercept player already.

Gov plays an accountable role every week

He made his name taking down the best opponents and beating them

The advantage of him taking on a Tom Macdonald type - is the opposition either need to kick it to where Gov is or they lose their best avenue to goal.

Sides have been very very reluctant to kick it anywhere near Gov this year - which is why our mids needs to work harder blocking the corridor and forcing the kick down the line

Yeah on twitter. Said I have a clear anti-indigenous players agenda on here.

Of course, when asked to find just one of my 35,000 posts that displays such an agenda, hungrytiger has gone very quiet again.

I’m pissed off to be honest. He can put up the proof or retract and apologize. Or he can go **** himself.

So minus Barrass, we are expecting McGovern to play more a negating role on Tom McDonald (still allowing him to intercept and run off) while Schofield is looking off pace to me. Decision making and closing speed down meaning against a Melbourne forward line with only 1 genuine tall, I would look to rest Schofield and bring back a Rotham. The role for Rotham is not KPD - WAFL games when he plays tall have been average at best yet when he is on a flank, he is better.

If we want a second tall, then either OAllen or Brander.

I’m not as confident with Tom Cole as I was last year - he is blind kicking and not holding tackles. Not shouting to be dropped but he appears to be playing sore.

I reckon Tommy is trying a bit too hard if anything. Seems to be over committing a lot and getting stepped. I think his role has changed slightly too and he is having an adjustment period. Must stay in while we have so much other uncertainty in the back line with Barrass out and Schoey scratchy (and possibly injured now too).

I seem to be one out rating Vardy's game against the Saints as a pass. Granted he offered us nothing around the ground but his tap work seemed way better than usual - managed quite a few taps directly to Shuey, a few other others into reasonably dangerous space and if nothing else didn't let the Saints get first use too often. Granted the Saints don't have a great ruck but I thought it was promising stuff. I would be OK if the MC decide to keep him in to double team Gawn like we did last year.

Not really sure who Hickey comes in for if that's the case and gut says Rioli won't play. If Schofield was playing to his baseline I'd be happy for him to stay in but it looked like he got a bad knock on the weekend and has been next to useless the last few weeks anyway. I'd be tempted to drop him, swing Allen back and bring in Hickey.
