Oallen goes out for Rioli if he's fit.

Waterdog gets another shot. Schomo goes out for the Rottweiler.

Gawn is a nuisance to ruck against. Simdog usually likes to wear him down with 2 rucks. Not sure who GTFO to make space for Hickdog though.

In saying all this MC will announce an unchanged lineup on thursday 6:20pm AEST

Missed out on Dog Gawn..

Melksham has been trash this year but has been playing much better the past two weeks as he’s moved into the middle more.

Confidence player - can be damaging to both sides depending on how much of a head of steam he has

He is their leading goal scorer though.

With him out I'd be happy to see Nelson come in and blanket someone like a Jayden Hunt. Stir him up, try to get the Melbourne forwards to forget about the footy.

Yeah can't see him straight back in without a WAFL run.

It would be incredibly reckless after drawing attention to our spate of lower leg injuries and saying how careful we need to be in giving them enough time. I expect he is a couple of weeks away. We can win dirty without him to ensure he is cherry ripe for the second half of the year.

I reckon they'll bring big williedog in. Not sure they'll risk sending him to Beagles.

He might need a few more spells on the bench to get his breath back, but a slightly softer willie is better than a completely useless or non existent willie.

Schofield, Sheppard and JK not at training

Cole, yeo and Cripps on light duties

Nic and willie both in main group through warmups. Watson also

We are not big on multiple team changes so don't see anything different this week.
If Hickey fit him and Vards will double team Gawn with one of them on him at all times being his shadow.
I want Rotham to get back in and think Schoey has been down, Cole also but not a suitable swap for Rotham.
Waterman was ok and deserves another crack, he's not Brander so should get more than one game at a time.
Rioli needs a WAFL run I would think.
Had JK not of pulled a couple of plays out of his behind at the end of the game he could have been looking at a Roughy but hoping how he finished gives him confidence for Friday.

In - Hickey, Rotham
Out - Oallen (managed) Schofield (omitted)

Sheppard made a late appearance but didn’t do much

Very light session that was over and done with in less than 45 minutes

Hopefully franga watto gets back into it soon. He was looking good early in the season.
Didn’t look hindered at all. Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays Thursday night against EP

I think Kennedy is still a valuable player but he shouldn't be the number one forward. His role should be to kick a couple of goals a week at best and draw defenders away from the other forwards.

Unfortunately he is still our number one target i50 which is going to hurt when his end comes sooner rather than later.

I think this could actually work. Give Darling the responsibility of #1. He revelled in it when JK was out.
Change the running patterns such that JK is #2. It could give him more freedom and arc JD up.

I thought he was pretty good defensively last night, and I've been critical of him of late too. Thought he was solid, saw him win quite few contests, get to the right spots to keep players accountable. Maybe I missed some terrible clangers kicks, missed tackles...?

If you have any examples other than 'poor form' that I missed, go for it. That'd make calls to drop him sound less mystical, and would be more productive than a lecture on what 'form' means in any case. :)

Liked. My two bobs worth is that I thought that recently Cole is being deployed further up the ground, so is responsible for an opponent directly (usually one of the most dangerous ie Stephenson) but is also a corridor runner who has been delivering footy to our forwards more than he was last year. Those calling for him out are being extremely harsh IMO. Like most defenders he is vulnerable when the midfield is getting beaten which has been been happening too often lately. Cole is a best 22 player, simple as that
