Dog is good. Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky at dawn, sailors be warned. Wasn’t saying anything other than posting an old saying or whatever that is. But you’re right, i am not a fan of Darwin.

What?!

Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight
Red sky in morning, shepherd’s warning

Best team on paper for a long while.

Lets hope that translates to onfield performance
Looks well balanced too, with our best 3 wingmen likely to play mostly that role for the 1st time this year.

Back 7 - Talia, Keath, Hartigan, Smith, Laird, Brown & Kelly.

Inside midfielders - Brouch, Sloane, CEY, Gibbs

Wingmen - Seedsman, Milera, Atkins

Forward 7 - Walker, Jenkins, Lynch, Betts, Murphy, Greenwood & Gallucci... with the latter 2 also part of midfield rotations.

Would bring in Mrouch for Kelly or Hartigan & play Gibbs off a HBF.

Gooch & Atkins would want to up their form as there are a few queuing up for his job. Tex wouldn't want to have another poor one either.

sailors and shepherds are interchangeable in this phrase

I wonder if he struggles to get his body right. Thought he looked like having a good year but is steadily deteriorating.

Was it you who called it over a month ago? Good call if it was. His game on the weekend was horrendous. He was directly responsible for WC's first 3 goals in the last quarter.

I called it preseason when we were talking about how many years our senior players would play.

What’s it got to do with shepherds?
When Port were formed back in biblical times, this was the original 'saying', as per in the bible is all.

"The concept of "Red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning" first appears in the Bible in the book of Matthew. It is an old weather saying often used at sunrise and sunset to signify the changing sky and originally known to help the shepherds prepare for the next day's weather."

Much like Tex, the gap between best and worst is huge this year.

I was bemoaning Talia quite a few weeks back before the port game where he was great, and after that game thought he was back, but his movement looks restricted and his kicking is suss. I wonder how much of it is to do with the constant back and hammy attention he gets seemingly every game on the sidelines. If he's injured, give him a few weeks or however long it takes to get him where he needs to be physically because he's a beast at his best. Needless to say we need him at his best.

Has DMac's golden pass come to an end or is he still ill? Has Campo lost his influence at selection? Probably one of our best teams all year. Atkins, Talia, Gallucci, Walker, Jenkins, Gibbs, Murphy and Betts all under the spotlight and need to perform.

Does this ring a bell?
"Daniel Talia. Has he been in the gym too much or has he been eating too many pies?

He looks so turgid he can barely run. He can’t move his legs to kick and is slow AF.

Does he wear an iron back brace or something? Because that’s what it looks like when he moves. I think Otten would be better value ATM."

We are not a premiership contender so bringing back 3 x 29+ year olds is actually quite pointless. Maybe next week we can bring Sauce, Mackay and Otten in our push for 7th on the ladder.

If there is ever a year you could justify it, the year you don't have your first round pick is it, as there is no benefit to losing.

Though, I too am pretty lukewarm on these selections just as Jenkins should really have been frozen out, though, potentially it's a good lesson for Himmelberg about not letting a sucker take your place.
