So what about McAdam?

Played an SANFL games, appears fit. Meant to have x factor and can take a mark apparently?

Is he up to AFL standard, I guess the only way to find out is play him but what will it take away by playing him, he sort of could play lynch's role but how much of a step down is he compared to lynch

I could see Stengle being given a run in place of Murphy, yet he's had a shotgun attack on goal as well this year
Would be good to see him get a 'shot'. Would be good to debut in a home game - would think pencil in Don's at home. Bring forward if we lose to Melb for GWS at home. Surely we can't lose to Melb!!!

I think he is but had an average game against port in local showdown. Def option as fwd. Not sure he is comparable to Lynch. Another one that should be given a go soonish. Has X-factor.

What about Davis? I've liked what I've seen from him this year. Smooth mover and good overhead.

Again giving up on the season when we are almost guaranteed pick 1 isn't the best idea.

Win all the games we can.
Im definately all for winning all the games we can..

That means ending this shit of picking the same duds week in week out and expecting a different result (i.e. “backing them in”)..

Atkins, mookay, knight need to go for good... they are rubbish players. Do the odd good thing here and there and then become passengers for entire quarters of the game. Its simply unacceptable.

Hartigan needs to be rubbish binned as soon as we find someone to replace him.. cupboard is bare but we have some promising youth that just arent quite ready yet..

Himmelburg and Jones have shown they have great potential but need a rest and to build more confidence again. Both got given an absolute towelling up on the weekend.

Mchenry and stengle need to come into the side immediately. Mcadam, davis, fog and even Wilson need to be given a chance to prove themselves During the remainder of the season.

And FFS... please dont let douglas and sause walk back into the side.. they are the past, leave them there. ROB has struggled at time, mainly against great opposition, but has been solid and provided a hell of a lot more than what Jacobs has in the last 18 months.. jacobs has been putrid and shouldve retired at the end of last season.

Looks like a very good pick up... not sure that he’s fit enough yet though.. needs some more games in the sanfl to build up his fitness level but should definately be given a shot at some point this season.

We need to spend the rest of the season finding out who our best players and future 22 best players are. The side that we can rely on going forward to win more games than not.

Stengle - needs games. Is he the future small forward.
McHenry - first rounder with speed.
Fogarty - supposed to be building our attack around him shortly.
Davis - Lynch replacement.
Sholl, McPherson - need to upgrade Kelly.
Butts - give him a go to see whether he can play next year in place of Hartigan.
McAdam - X factor in our forward line has now gone with Charlie and McNuggets leaving.

Agree bring them in, but don't have a melt down if we lose and lose bad

Bringing in those players will more than likely see us drop out of the eight and Im fine with that if they get developed or work out if they are capable or not

So what you are saying is lets rebuild with development or find out who can or cant play AFL

As for dropping EH, no, f you want him to develop continue to play him, he wont be rested in the SANFL every weekend he still has to keep playing at that level also, will he develop better against players he is going to have to learn to play against or against weekend warriors

Sorry. I think Obrien will Struggle against GAWN. it's Best to play Sauce n Jenkins

Gee I hope we swing the axe this week... Crouch & Lynch are coming back in but would be good to see some of the young guys given a go...

Didn't Gawn get six Brownlow votes against us last year?

An underdone Jacobs will get destroyed. I'd rather play Hunter and give ROB a week to rest his ankle.

Lynch and Mrouch were significant OUTs vs West Coast. With Mrouch in, our midfield wouldn't have been so badly beaten in that second half, and Lynch would have created a better link to our forwards.
I asked this in another thread, but it's relevant here: is Fog underdone, did he have an interrupted pre-season, is he out of form and WHY are they playing him as a back in the SANFL? He looked a natural CHF when he played --- can mark, can crash a pack, has natural mongrel, can kick a goal.
Will Lynch be fit vs the Dees?
Jones shows flair, endeavour and footy instincts but has not impacted any game he's played. Time to see what McHenry can do?
OUT: Himmelberg, Jones, Gallucci, (leave Mackay out, um, to recover "fully" ;), also Gibbs to find form)
IN: JJ, McHenry, Stengle (assumes Lynch still unfit)

Last year in Alice Sauce had 21 hitouts to Gawn's 49, so as much as you may think that ROB will struggle then surely playing an underdone Jacobs against him who hasn't been in great form for the last 18 months isn't the answer.

We lost by a goal to the premiers, unlikely there will be wholesale changes, but should there be?

Crouch and Lynch were missed who goes out, will they recall gibbs, he has had a back all year, Mackay was crook and has had a great year, Then you have EH who is clearly struggling at the elite level, does JJ need to come in, whether he deserves it or not he is the only replacement for EH we have or could lynch replace him

so on the outside potential ins

Crouch Lynch Mackay

Maybe ins

Gubbs JJ

Outs

Jones Knight Atkins

Maybe outs

EH Murphy

I would be think ins Crouch Lynch Mackay depending on fitness
