A player saying what he thinks and putting it back on the club.....good
Tex showing aggression, dumb or not.....good
For years our players and officials have played the company line like lemmings, never questioning, the days of Trigg.... We were fill of choir boys to boot.

Now we have players with voices, we have players holding the club to account and on field aggression both dumb (tex) and real (CEY). This board has a soon in opposite to previous comments.

The results are crap but I like the challenge being put up
The club will put him out for good.

Performing once against an inept, inexperienced, incompetent and amateur backline doesn't warrant selection.

We'll find out tomorrow. Himmelberg did everything in his power to get dropped (outside of some decent defensive numbers) in his last two weeks. If you don't opt for Jenkins now, you could effectively argue that the club is well and truly done with him.

I hope you don’t mind me
I find your posts hard to read
There are so many visual symbols
Maybe I’m just an old sausage
Sorry about that.
I'm an old sausage, myself, but I've learned to temper my comments in here with emojis so as not to be misinterpreted (other posters were often saying to me "Emojis are your friend").
I'll try to be clearer.

Your posts are easy to read. I don't see the problem.

I don't buy the argument that Himmelberg didn't deserve to be playing last week

He had one bad game. Dropping young players after a single bad game is poor selection.

Meanwhile Jenkins has been banging the door down with a whopping 1 good game in a row from 5 attempts.

The player who's been better on average is clearly Himmelberg

Note the position of EH’s last two opponents - Andrews and McGovern

Surprised Alex Keath's name doesn't appear anywhere.

Not surprised Dan Talia's name doesn't appear anywhere.

Time for Tex and others to pull their finger out
No surprise that Eddie defended Tex on 5AA, here:
https://www.fiveaa.com.au/shows/david-and-will/Eddie-Betts-Talks-About-The-Calls-To-Drop-Tex-Walker
What was especially interesting is that they had a plan (Coach-driven, probably) which meant Tex sacrificing his own game to try to minimise the effects of Schofield and Hurn. Ambitious, but at least they had a plan ie for a forward to work with the mids to get I50 entries, of which we had 60, from memory.
Eddie:
"“What Tex did, he rounded up Hurn the whole game and Jeremy McGovern. If you go back and watch the game, if you watch behind the goals footage and you watch Tex’s leadership and the way he sets up our forward line it’s second to none.
“It was all of our job but he was the one who set everything up and directing everybody. When Hurn was free Tex would just go to him. He had Schofield on him just giving him crap all game and he went to Hurn just to sacrifice his game so they don’t mark the ball.
“That’s the part people [don’t see].""
Being outnumbered 5-to-6 forward, it didn't work and we lost, plus Tex appeared to be ineffective, but I'll bet Pyke was happy that Tex stuck to the plan and did his part (B & F votes later might back that).
Eddie and his mates were.

Doesn't make sense that Keath isn't up there. His stats are far better than many on that list.

By memory it works on a two season running average with some weighting to now, to try and reward consistency.

Not so good.
The place for players to say what they think, even to whinge, is behind closed doors with their mates in meetings and/or directly to the Coach. NOT through the media.
Jenkins is not helping his own cause. I'm starting to think he's unaware, dumb, but trying to build himself up for a trade and later a career in the media.

The only talking I want to hear and/or see from ANY of these boys is by their footy on the damn field.

This team has a penchant for a lot of talking and little producing over the last season and a half. I for one am sick of hearing from ANY of them.

Show up, shut up and put W's up.

That’s interesting.

According to Grotto, Tex’s game v Brisbane doesn’t count because:

1. Brisbane weren’t very good last year; and
2. Brisbane don’t have any decent defenders.

Grotto logic lol.
