Geez is this a serious reply. Knight has been rubbish for weeks but you for one are ok for him to be ommitted and then get another game only to serve up the same rubbish.

Did you every think some kid named Ned McHenry deserved a shot rather than a continued non performer....I guess not.
Or he'd fly up, not get a game and then sit another week. We'll play McHenry when we play him, not make him fly over and and likely miss another game of football.

Is it just me or are we letting Talia and Hartigan off the hook?

And yes ... I know ...10 goals isn’t going to win matches

Hit a nerve?

It’s really easy ...I got selection wrong. It’s fine, we all get it wrong most of the time
Huh?

My opinion is an opinion not fact.

It's my opinion that Walker has been average this year & poor in at least half of his games.

It's my opinion that Tex was mentally not switched on for last week as his attitude was poor & he had a shocker. We dropped Gibbs & JJ for less.

It's my opinion that you are wearing rose colored glasses for Tex.

Funny how I mentioned plenty of changes this week to send a message, 3 of whom were actually dropped... yet you bang on only about 1 player like he is a protected specie..

You still haven't grasped what's going on here, rather you prefer to make excuses for dumb f##k decisions.

You are absolutely correct. We have two key defenders that are plain dumb.
Talia has been ordinary for a while no and offers nothing else other than nullifying his opponent. Rarely does he take a contested mark or offer any run out of defence.

For a player that has played all of 5 minutes of AFL Keath has shown he is better than these two.

IMO the rot last week started with Talia in the 3rd taking the dumb and wrong option.

No, actually I’m not.

You’re saying he should be dropped because he’s out of form. Quite simply he’s not. He’s had 1 bad game and you want him out of the side on that basis which is frankly ludicrous.

And actually you have become as silly as Grotto. Let’s have a close look at your arguments.

Yours: Tex is out of form should be dropped
Mine: CD rank him the 5th best forward R5-10.
Yours: oh but that’s against ordinary opposition.
Mine: mostly top 8 or near top 8 sides and near top 4 sides
Yours: oh but he doesn’t stand up at important times
Mine: 3 example of kicking goals at important times.

I think what’s been so frustrating this week is, normally logical, posters such as yourself have been illogical and irrational in trying to bag and get rid of a player who has, other than last week, performed really well.

I find it completely illogical that you want to bag him for last week for not hitting the scoreboard, not taking marks etc. = accumulation of statistical measures which evidence impact on the game.

Yet when his statistics do evidence impact on the game you turn your argument to statistics don’t matter. Do you know how ridiculous, illogical and poorly constructed that argument is.

This is why I’m only left with a conclusion that you’re nothing but another hater.
Yeah I hate our captain, sure thing. CD stats tell half a story and you want to go with them, that's fine. You use stats to back up Rory Atkins too, who's had little influence in more than half the games this year. Statistically he was poorer than Gibbs in the Brisbane game yet Bryce was dropped..... are they everything ?? Clubs hardly use CD stats.

Get a grip Pete.

Our game style is and has been an issue........and its impacting our forwards
Ball movement from 3rd to 3rd is atrocious.......along with a number of soft**** footballers this club continually sees as best 22.
Name them.

Name them.

Atkins is the leader of the pack by 500 lenghts of Flemington
Jenkins. Still hasn't worked out he's 198 and 100+ kgs.
Whilst Jake Kelly attacks contests he shits the bed when he has the ball and has pressure applied. Its like watching a swan in the jaws of a crocodile.

And you would happily use them, or a lack of them, to pot him.

If that’s your argument, that stats do t matter, then maybe we’re all wrong, maybe Tex was playing one of those non statistical roles we all love so much.

Lets stick to absolute facts about Tex. Straight forward facts.

Tex in his last 18 games and he has scored 1 goal or less in 13 out 18. Think about that for a second.

In that sequence, Hawks have kept him goalless in 2 games, Cats kept him to 1 goal in 2 games, 1 goal in 1 game against the Giants and Tigers. On Sunday he was kept goalless against the Eagles. Thats 5 finals sides from 2018 that kept him to a goal or less. You wont win games in September with that output.

Even the Freo game, Pearce gave Tex an absolute bath, he was fortunate to have even kicked a goal as well, Pearce caught him at every attempt Tex made to take him on.

No one criticized Tex last year when he went in his last 8 games in 2018, with scoring just one goal in hist last 7/8 games or 6/10 with just one goal or less in 2019. Even the "incident" in which some sections in the media tore him apart, not many at all took cheap shots at him.

No one criticized Tex when he went through his first 4 games in 2019 with one goal in 3/4 games and goalless in the other. With that said he has gone one goal or less in 6/10 games in 2019.

While it does appear some posters are making negative observations about his performance after one game, in reality it is over the scope of his past 18 games which is being explored here and more in particular in his first 10 games in 2019.

When we play Giants, Tigers and the Cats it will be interesting to see how Tex performs.

And you'd rather fly off the handle like a child having a tantrum that doesn't get his way.

Fly off the handle...LOL, just LOL.
We are a shadow of 2017, lost 3 home games have lost ground employ duds.....you love to keep drinking the dirty bath water the AFC serves up.

Great - you want to argue pure statistical facts.

So you agree that Tex has been the 5th ranked forward in the AFL across R5-10?

Yes or no?

Mate hes played 22 games. Is barely off his training wheels and has been trying to find good form due to a non-existent preseason.

I wouldnt be against sending him back to SANFL to work on his game but I think you need to take a chill pill.

And in a position where it's almost luck if you get a good level of performance out of without giving out a lot of midfield minutes.

Half forward for Adelaide is really the bottom of the food chain, and to the point no one is going to perform well in that position.

Feel it's a short term thing. I agree he needs to play half back/wing/mid with his disposal but because our forward line lacks a cameron type now they might be thinking he could be a short term replacement until mcadam and stengle are up to speed. We definitely need some spark and speed up there. I think with gibbs likely playing half back and Seedsman and Atkins on the wings Milera is left with mid and forward.

I reckon it's got more to do with Milera not being match fit yet.

Tex wouldn't get close to making the All Australian squad!

Does this mean Mackay isn’t best 22?

It does keep up the routine, starts well then dropped before the bye.

Anyone checked on AFC979810 ?

Two times I have been tagged... 8 years of pent up emotion coming out....

Not sure what the big news is.... Mackay misses last week due to illness and isn't rushed straight back in to play in Darwin....

I haven't seen this much desperation since Arrow discussed the pick swap.
