Define hitouts to advantage.
Does that mean he palmed the ball straight into the lap of a team mate?
If so i don't beleive the stat.
Laycock won quite a few hitouts but they were no way near as effective as Hilles.
Laycocks job is to provide Hille a rest from the ruck. He did that perfectly on the weekend, as Hille was freed up and had an impact around the game.

Probably because when Hille came off they put in their second ruckman to rest up Bryan. I don't even know the name of Collingwoods bloke he's that shit.http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_match_statistics?mid=3449
Laycock 15, Bryan 14, Hille 10
It is a hitout that directly results in a clearance. Either straight to a teammate or into the space of a teammate.
Lucas still Doubtful...

That sucks, Especially now that Gumby and Neagle are still injured... All we have is Hooker to replace him up forward, Ideally.
Not ruling him out yet, though.

Whenever Laycock went into the ruck we got killed.
Maybe not perfectly... When Hille went off the ground for about 7 mins in the second term and the Pies kicked 4 goals while Laycock was rucking, luckily Hille came back on and we scored the next 3![]()
What about every other instance in the last few weeks when Hille's been replaced in the ruck by Laycock and we've gotten smashed.Try watching the game again. When Laycock was in the ruck in the third quarter we actually kicked three goals to break the game open again.
Do you guys watch games with your eyes shut ?

Didn't notice that probably too used to seeing when he stuffs up to notice when he does something goodDont want to mention the third quarter when we kicked three goals to establish our lead again while Laycock was rucking ?
Well who are you going to play ? an 18 year old who is not ready and wont win much of the ruck yet ?
If we had another second string ruckman with some experience then yes but som,e of you seem to have taken the Laycock bashing to a level even higher than Bolton bashing ever got to
Yes his form has been a bit patchy but at least in the last few weeks he has been near the ball. We are stuck with him for now so he plays second ruck.
FFS he still wears a Black and Red jumper. It is almost like some of you want him to fail so you can line up and have another bash the next week.![]()
Reimers, Monfries, Welsh, McPhee, Hille...
my point is what if lloyd has a bad game? we will struggle to kick a total.. another target down forward is needed
We're playing Melbourne... Its not the end of the world for us...
It will most likely be a low scoring game.

Why?

I went home and watched the game again last night.
Turns out Collingwood kicked 11 goals, all while Laycock was in the ruck.
The goals we did kick while Laycock was rucking were all incidental.
I thought it must just be a coincidence, so I went back and watched the Richmond game. And what do you know, 16 goals, all while Laycock was rucking.
Even the goal Laycock kicked was an accident.
