In. Medhurst, Beams
Out. Sidebottom, Toovey

Even if Cloke is fit, i wouldn't rush him back and give him time to get fit and firing for post-break.

No change.

Travis seemed to think he would be ready to go this week, but due to his prior form I'd play him in the VFL, with a return against Sydney.

Medhurst should just need a couple of weeks on the training track before returning against Sydney rather than gracing the VFL with his awesomeness.

Or perhaps Wellers has to make way. I know he played well, but on a couple of occasions he had shots at goal from the 50, and he missed them both. Maybe he needs to learn to nail these (as good as he was)?

??????

incredibly difficult shots running at full pace 50m out and he didn't miss by much, hit the post both times...

just unlucky, has great skills, won't get dropped, Sidebottom will get suspended in my opinion. Incident in the third quarter, or MM might give him a weeks rest anyway, 18 year old played the last month.. Beamsy will return.. Sidey has superb skills, his awareness is outstanding. Future Gun !

No change.
Unless Medhurst is 100% then he comes in Cox goes out.
But i can't see Medhurst playing this week.

The ideal scenario would be for no change next week, then we could play Cloke, Rocca, McCarthy, Rusling and Johnson in the VFL the following week, allowing us to have a virtual full list to pick from for the Sydney trip.

If we can get through the Melbourne game with a win and no injuries, we will be firing on all cylinders come Sydney, and then the league better watch out, because no one has seen our best 22 in action yet, and it will be a sight to behold when it happens.:thumbsu:

OK cloke=IN
Toovey=out

Melbourne is shit-put cloke in the backline all game and let him get his touch back. Put Nathan Brown in the forward line and try the big man out in a game we shouldn't lose YOUR thoughts im desperate for this to happen.

No change to the team. Anyone suggesting Sidebottom should leave the team should not post here. Period. Maybe Fraser out medhurst in.

i think we've seen enough this season to realize that no game is a shoe-in..
so let's just stick to the winning forumla until it stops working...

putting a cloke back into the team would probably make our team too tall..

Agree Sidebottom played a very good game but if Medhurst comes up he's an automatic selection. On team balance, Sidebottom is the one to be unlucky enough to go out. It has to be a mid or a small forward to make way and I cant find anybody else to drop - certainly not Dick or Wellingham.

Dropping Fraser is just crazy talk. We've finally got the team balance right with two rucks and we're not going to change that.

I've heard that Daisy may have a groin issues.

Daisy has been wearing skins for a while now, in fact he has worn the full length ones at training for about 5-6 weeks.

Whether that indicates a problem with his groin, or whether thats just his choice, we are none the wiser.

If he does have a recurring problem, they should consider resting him this week and giving him 3 weeks to prepare for the Sydney game.

We have a very strong list at the moment injury wise, and therefore can afford to only play the players who are close to 100% fit.

No doubt if daisy is not right (which appears to be the case) then he should not play.

Two main midfielders in Pendles & Swan (even though he got 48 possy's) still appear to have injury concerns and so you wouldn't want to take out sidebottom for that reason. I think those two will be looking forward to that week off.

If Steaky is 100% he'll be there against Melbourne, but if he's a 100% now why wasn't he training or playing only a couple of days ago.

You definitely can't remove both cox and toovey. With Heath returning to form, Wellingham starting to show some dash from defence, Didak back on the field and Daisy possibly getting back into it then I would say cox's run is less important than toovey's accountability. Besides cox's ball use isn't that much more predictable than tooveys maybe even worse if the pressure's on.

It'll be interesting to see when we get our top 22 together. I don't think Ruz and Jack have ever played together which is pretty positive.

Anyway bring on Melbourne!!!

Sidebottom's possession count was so low because he didn't play the last 20 minutes (or so) in the last quarter. He gets a bit in the last because he is so fresh, as he has been getting very little TOG! Noticed he limped off, but looked all smiles after the game.
