Lenny out for 2-3 weeks, must been one those serious corkies ;)

Not sure the article on the website is saying that. I think he says that they will rest him this week because he is coming off the back of a 3 week injury. I read it to mean that the could be back next week. Unless of course they have stated 3 weeks somewhere else?

“I think there will be a couple of changes from a selection point of view and the way it is looking will probably be a tad younger than last week,” he said.

“I’m not sure whether there will be a debutant this week but there are three or four younger guys who are putting their hand up. We’ll finalise that after training today.”

From the article saying Lenny will miss.

Stated elsewhere mate. Was said during press conference but article picked small part of it!

Grrrrr Now I am pissed off. I thought that Lying went to Freo.
Where is my angry face.... oh here.

Comes back to last week, why the hell was he played when calf injuries always take 4 weeks. Ridiculous and poor decision yet again by club. They continually do it though.

Schneider did his hammy last year, then the did it. Same for Fisher and Stanley.

Schneider does it again, then re-does it. Lenny comes back after a calf, then reinjures it. Am I missing anyone? Pretty important players missing a lot of weeks. Please don't tell me we're going back to the soft tissue issues that we had dyeing GT's time here.

OUT: Lenny Hayes, Clinton Jones, Farren Ray, Arryn Siposs
IN: David Armitage, Tom Ledger, Tom Curren, Sam Dunell

Beau Maister maybe for a White (Doubt it)/Lee/Kosi. I think Hickey is probably safe wasn't that bad last week.

My final changes for this week would be:
IN: Armitage, Saunders, Ledger, Lee.(If fit)
OUT: Hayes, Jones, Ray, Maister.

i have similar fears
Misson was the guru because of his player profiling / passport. They worked out the trigger point for a client. for example, Schnieder does hammy then they go back and see what he did in the build up. If it was long distance running then they drop his load to avoid him doing the injury again. this is why Misson had incredibly low soft tissue rates at Sydney and Saints. The guys who are now at the club are very skilled and would be across all of this and have improved on what Burge was doing. In reality we have had a 33 year old do a calf and a 28 year old with dodgy hammies do his hammy. The rest are blokes at Sandy who picked them up on a cold day wihtout proper preparation. Overall we are not too bad this year.

What I do agree with is the fact that lenny should have missed 4-5 with a calf. school boy error.

the injury days of GT's era are dead forever in football (thank christ)

Sneaky suspicion Ledge is in.
Any hints why? Rumour? hunch? Or just plain WILLING it to happen (if so, many of us have tried that!)? :)

In: Lee, Saunders, Curren, Armitage

Out: Maister, Hayes, Ray, Jones,

Murdoch and Ledger will be in the mix too.

Would have to be a very late rookie upgrade announcement for Curren to get a gig this week surely?

Replace Curren with Ledger and I wouldn't mind that.

Really hope that Wright is back too. Incredible how much we've missed him. And I very much enjoyed watching him and Roberton running off half back.

Yeah I forgot about the Rookie thing. Why isn't Gilbert on the long term injury list?

Agree with Wright, I'm pretty excited about him. I'd like to see him spend a bit of time on the ball when he comes back. Could be anything.

My mail is that Wright is keen but the docs have said no. Armitage will replace Lenny and I am led to believe that a very senior player is "sore" and will make way for Ledger to come into the 25 (which means he could simply be an emergency).

No mail on a debutant but given it could only be Lever, Pierce or White I doubt there is one this weekend.

We can easily put Markworth on the LTI list and elevate a rookie in about 2 weeks all clubs and elevate a rookie as well. No need to put Gilbert on the Long term injury list.
