I
My only concern with Ross is I thought he looked a bit tired and slow and turned it over a bit and might be in need of a rest. Most people on the forum seem to think he played a good game so perhaps I need to re-watch the game (which probably won't happen to be honest)
Don't do it to yourself, i just deleted it off my foxtel IQ..!!
Ross's work in traffic is quite good for a second year player..The Dogs kicked 11 goals in the second half, whilst last week the Crows managed 8 to our 3 last week..Our second half fade outs & lack of run/spread
doesn't reflect the so called benefits of the high altitude trip to Colarado..We ended up losing Markworth for the year & we're getting run off our legs in the second half of most games anyway..

We wont see the effects of Colorado for at least 2 years but point taken about our second half fade outs.

I don't believe we're unfit, the fadeouts can be directly attributed to the inadequate number of selected players that can run through the middle thanks to the the stack of one dimensional forwards in our 50. And it doesn't help that our midfield contingent is so small that Newnes and Ross' inability to run out games gets costly. It's hardly their fault.

I'd probably go something like this

Backs: Stanley, Gwilt, Dempster, Roberton, Fisher [1 HBF spot to be rotated amongst mids group]
Forwards: Riewoldt, Sip/Lee/Maister (2 of), Saad/Milne (1 of) [1 FP & 1 HFF spot to be rotated, resting opp etc]
Mids: Steven, Armitage, Montagna, Dal Santo, Geary, Ross, Newnes, Wright, Saunders/Ledger/Curren/CJ/Ray/JWeb/Len - if fit - (3 of)
Rucks: Hickey plays as #1 taking a majority of taps forward of HB, McEvoy license to park the bus at HB/FB infront of Petrie/Black/Daw etc.

funniest call i have seen this year goes to the muppetts who created the kozi appreciation group on facebook, who are now calling for his automatic inclusion into the side
We need him back desperately after all No-one does it better then Kosi himself

4 kids plus someone that has proven hard ball get ability. Sounds good to me.

OUT: Siposs, Lenny, Fisher
IN: Ledger, Saunders, Curren

Lenny out injured, Siposs cos he is playing injured and cant run out game. Put him back into VFL to work on his fitness base. Fisher out cos he couldnt give stuff and needs serious wakeup call. We need more guts in middle, hence all the ins. All 3 can rest up forward as small forward. Maister stays in cos Lee aint fit enough yet as he's coming back from injury.

Silly statement if Siposs is injured he doesn't play at all, not even VFL injured means you are injured you don't play how do you get a fitness base when one is injured.

North have once again choked. Christ imagine how the team and Brad Scott feels. In my opinion they are a much better team than us, and they will be fired up in this game. Will be a very interesting game!

Don't worry if you are down by 50pts in the 3rd qtr, you'll still be able to come back a snatch the win.

Safe: Steven McEvoy Ross Hayes (if fit) Montagna Riewoldt Geary Roberton Saad Dempster Fisher Dal Santo Stanley Webster Gwilt Maister
Possible Outs: Hickey Siposs Newnes Milne Ray Jones
Possible Ins: Armitage Dunell Curren Ledger Lee Koschitzke Wright

Personally, I would have

In: Wright Armitage Lee
Out: Siposs Ray Jones

Why would Saad be safe, he is over rated and a 1 trick pony speed is all he brings to the table.
He never gets front and centre his pressure acts have dropped off, he needs a holiday to recapture and also remember what got him in the side in the first place. He has become too comfortable with his position within the side.

Neither Milne or Saad are genuine on ball types of players, but Milne could give you a little burst per quarter and Milne is more likely to kick a few more then Saad so i would go for Milne (just don't kick it around your body)

I like your ins but not sure how Maister is safe? Old iron hands....
I agree that Saad is a one trick pony but better to invest in him than Milne who is washed up.
I would persist with Newnes. Didn't do a lot but was handy when he did get involved.
Sipposs looks dangerous and kicked some nice goals so persist (unless injured).
