Changes vs North Melbourne

Really hope Lobbe can overcome his injury, we really got smashed in the centre tonight.

I gave a pretty detailed account of my thoughts on our weaknesses in the review thread. In summary:
Without lobbe we don't nullify stoppages. Redden was a liability. Not his fault - just underdone. We need another contested player in the middle, at the expense of one of our running back flankers.

Ideal solution - tell Hartlett he is not f****ng Bryce Gibbs. Play him in the guts. If he can't play there he should not be playing.

We also need to sort out our forward line without Robbie in it, as he is so necessary without lobbe in the middle.

Schulz, Wingard, Monfries, Neade, Westhoff, ?

If Lobbe is fit, that question mark becomes Ryder and we are all happy. If he is not fit... I don't know.

Out: Redden, Impey (hammy), Gibbs

ken was stubborn last year, didnt make big changes as the season slipped from a commanding game and percentage on top to missing out on the top 4 and costing us dearly when it really counted.

Nah, he just about is done. I thought he sucked last week, but then Macca pointed out that he tagged Hill in his review.
He is a liability when we don't have the ball, because he just is not capable of chasing with any sort of intensity or speed.
Our defensive running between the arcs was pretty bad tonight, and carrying guys like Kane and Monfries at the moment ain't helping.

Krak can cover for Impey. Young as another forward/mid. Lobbe is an obvious one but if not fit, O'Shea can release Krak, Trengrove and Pittard whilst also providing some much needed run.

Play Redden again, especially if there is any hint of continuing quad soreness with Lobbe.
I'm just happy he made it through tonight's game. Sure he struggled, but he is strategically important in terms of the whole year.
We are in a special kind of turmoil at the moment, because now Lobbe is underdone (no game for a month), and we will be bringing him back into a game that we just must win (vs NM).
Redden will be better for the run.
Lobbe can front up for the Hawthorn game (which on current form we will lose anyway), and use that to prime himself for the Crows the week after. That is another must win game.
I'm predicting 2-3 win/loss after 5 games. I'll take that outcome.

Cornes has played his best football under Ken, and arguably all career, when applying proper hard tags. In the twilight of his career that's what he needs to revert to week in week out.
