Changes vs North Melbourne

I see outs like neade and monfries with o'shae and krakas replacements.
We don't need any more back flankers - we already have one too many.
We already don't have Robbie in the forward line cause we need him in the middle.
Take out neade and monfries and our forward line has 3 people. You thought it performed badly tonight - see how it does with only three members!

Dropping forwards is not going to solve anything when we lose the midfield battle so badly. What we need is a step change in two way running and team defence instead of just our defenders doing the defending.

We have already played too many underdone players in the first 2 rounds, so I can't see the Hoon being seriously considered for at least another 3 or 4 weeks, let him get some consistent form with the Maggies, there is no point in throwing him in the deep end before he is ready.

If Lobbe doesn't come up next week then Reddo will have to get another gig, the hit out tonight should have at least cleaned out the cobwebs, and Ryder is a forward who can ruck occasionally, he is NOT ostensibly a ruckman, if the selectors go down the path of Paddy as the number one banana against Goldstein backed up by other part timers, then be prepared for another smacking.

Neade was one of the very few who actually wanted to win. No way he will get dropped for a few terrible kicks in a side where every player did the same.

Lobbe should come in for Redden and Hartlett should have his gold pass cancelled.

It's all very well to say 'sack Redden he's not fit' which is obviously true- but we have no replacements. If you drop him you need to send Ryder to the ruck and you've denuded the forward line which is already missing Robbie Gray because Gray has to spend more time in the middle because we don't have a fully fit ruckman....

There's no easy solution. RussellEbertHandball has been banging on for ages about the risks you take when you don't have enough fit ruckmen on your list. This is what happens when you don't listen to him.

We never have any luck with them. Apart from that great comeback a few years ago with Stewart kicking the winner, North have been on song and I have no doubt they will rise out of nowhere against us and nic this off us.

I know we want the two ruck set up. But if lobbe isn't available, Ryder to play predominantly ruck. Redden isn't ready.

And Butcher is in good form. Seems like a no brainer to me

A major part of why we struggled in the midfield yesterday was his inability to get his hand anywhere near the hit out. Then gave us nothing around the ground.

It Ryder has to suck it up for a while, and play as a lone ruckman with Trengove for help, then I can live with that.

I can't bear to see that sort of performance from Redden again though, irrespective of how tired or dominated Ryder gets.

Neade has great energy and is at least finding the ball more often ....but his mistakes are costly = OUT
Redden's selection was arrogant. He is miles away from AFL atm = OUT
Impey injured = OUT

Young can help with midfield rotations and kick goals = IN
Moore as above =IN (SUB)
Butcher in so Ryder can ruck = IN

All the talk pre season about having enough ruckman was bullshite
