Changes vs North Melbourne

Well initially I said Lobbe in for Redden but it seems this is not available. Swans are extremely good at what they do and we are very weak at combating their type of press. Also we made a huge amount of fundamental errors mainly due to the pressure we were under. I can't see there will be a huge change, neither the midfield or defence need it and the forwards need to pull their fingers out. Neade for Mitchell and Impey for Young are the two changes I can see.

Depends on how some others come up but I haven't heard of any other injuries although Broady went off straight to the changerooms at one point.

Is there some limit to how long Krak can play for if there isn't a significant LTI on the list? Perhaps they don't want to upgrade him, get used to his ability, then have to send him back.

No. Krakouer plays as long as Frampton is on the LTI and it's looking like he'll be on the LTI for a while yet.

The Selection committee got it dead wrong against a hardened Swans outfit.

Playing 'Big Red' was almost as bad as the Seahawks coach choosing to pass the ball with one yard to go to win the Super Bowl. He simply isn't ready ATM.

Neade has to go back to the SANFL and work on his disposal/set shots. Pity, because he showed really good signs late last year.

To many players are currently out of form or simply not hungry enough for the contest.

Hartlett: Ports biggest prick teaser, should be tearing games apart more often with his ability...needs to lift.
Cornes: there are times when he chooses to take a step back to gain a cheap possie instead of laying a shepherd for his team mate. Has become to one dimensional. Maybe Clurey should be considered as a big bodied tagger.
Westoff/White: A case of you see them, then you don't for long periods throughout games. Both must get involved more.

CHANGES

Moore must come in as a big bodied mid/half fwd option, maybe rotate with Robbie through the middle.
Young into the 22, not as sub.
Krak straight swap for Impey. Can play both ends of the ground which is a bonus.

Watching the game on Saturday it seemed our forward line was caught behind looking for the ball to drop over the back. If we are going to mark we need to play in front.

We need to revisit the past two weeks of footy and look at how our forward fifty entries have broken down. We've had plenty of the ball just turning it over as we enter our half has been a killer.

Ryder was a option to support Lobbe in the ruck while playing forward. Without Lobbe is it realistic to assume we might be to tall over the ground.

Changes:

In: Lobbe (if available), Young, Moore

Out: Redden(needs more prep), Impey (Hamstring) and Neade.

Need some bigger body goal kicking MID's.

The worst part of it all was Sydney did for 4 quarters what Adelaide did to us in the preseason games 3rd qtr. It appears we have not found a way to structure up better for the counter attack.

My fear is Bradbent being injured.
If Impey and Broadbent are out then Krakouer and Stewart must come in.

EDIT: Unless O'Shea is an in instead of Stewart.

Well that's interesting...what do you think about that move .. must have had a very good game

We'd win this game by 100 points if there were 22 Pittards. #TakeTheGameOn #RossFCSaysNoToChips #EspeciallySMAChips

This is true. We can't tag all Pittards, we will tag 1 Pittard and try to team tag the 2nd Pittard but no chance we can stop the other 20 Pittards and imagine the fresh sub Pittard he will be running rings around us. Sorry I'll go back to my board now :(

IN: Lobbe, Young
OUT: Redden, Neade

Gray might have to spend more time up fwd to replace Neade. Young to give us some more hardness and drive around the ball.

This is not the game to bring back Moore.

Where was your team when all you had to do was beat the Crows. Nooo you made them look like friggen superstars. So don't you dare pull out your A game for us. You have already screwed us here in Adelaide - we have to listen to the April premiers. Thanks for nothing Norfs.

I am more than happy to admit I was completely wrong about Redden. He was completely useless, I don't think he got his first hit out till late in the 2nd quarter. That is ****en horrendous. We could chuck Ollie Wines in the ruck and he would at least get a few hit outs. How at 206cm can you not get 1!? He was so damn slow it was unbelievable, completely ruined our structure and our midfield. I rate Redden's ability, however he needs to plays reserves for the majority of the year now.

Why do we just not play with Ryder as #1 ruck and not replace Lobbe with a tall? We had that damn structure last year and we won more than enough games! Yes it will be nice to have Ryder/Lobbe, but we simply just do not have that at the moment.

Outs: Redden, Neade, Impey
Ins: Lobbe (If fit), Young, Moore/Krak.

If no Lobbe, bring in O'Shea to cover Trengove we he goes into the ruck.

Personally I'd make him repeat it, Young and Moore slightly ahead still. Arch is close to putting it together would like to see him bash down the door with a 35 and 2 game which the others have produced.

Things we know:
1. Lobbe is not ready to come back for another 2 weeks. (source: Knicks on AA Sunday morning)
2. Redden is not ready to play a full AFL game (source: 6 HO, 2 K)
3. Ryder is our only fit ruckman which leaves us a tall short in the forward line.
4. Butcher played well, took marks and kicked goals in the SANFL on Friday night.

If Butcher can't get a call up under these circumstances, then we may as well send him back to Maffra.
