I'm glad if Shaw is an in if it means Otten is out, he's too slow.

An injured Thommo keeping out Kerridge who has been in form in the SANFL is just unbelievable. The season is gone, why are we playing injured players? Thommos last 3 weeks has stunk.

Our selectors are ****** in the head.
You spelt supporters wrong.

Last week, it seemed that this was pretty much the best team selections all year.

The selectors will pretty much swap out an injured Lyons for Sloane (upgrade) and it's the worst week ever.

I understand people think Thommo should be rested but if it hasn't happened yet, it shouldn't surprise you.

Worst week ever? Prone to exaggeration?

But you are right, we shouldn't be surprised that the selectors have ****ed up again.

Adel v NM;
Porplyzia, Jaensch, Sloane, Shaw in for Lyons.
Greenwood, Sierakowski, Harper, Garner in for McKenzie.
That makes sense. Effectively Sloane <--> Lyons. Good changes. Emergency list is neither here nor there.

Not seeing Kerridge in for Thommo aside, I am looking forward to seeing more of Grigg.

Reckon he and Sloane can form a nice lil partnership around the packs given the way they attack each contest.

I too am happy to see more footy from Mitch Grigg but am bewildered by the selection again of Scott Thompson. How poor does he have to get before we rest him. And what the hell has Kerridge done to be constantly overlooked. Gunned it up last time we played North but two games later gets dropped to not be seen since. Meanwhile we have had to endure games from Jaensch and Tambling who are both not a patch on Kerridge. If the club is not careful we could force this guy to request a trade. This guy is too good to lose !!

If its only Lyons for Sloane thats ok. Ifs its Lyons and Otten for Sloane and Shaw then thats ok but if MJ or Porps are in then thats plain wrong. Ive not attacked our selections like some but if those 2 come in a might join the mob

Does anyone go to training. Does thommo do the entire session at the same intensity as the rest of the non injured group. It beggars belief that with season over he's still getting a game while being clearly limited by injury. His need to dispose of the ball like a hot potato because he can't manoeuvre is an embarrassment to himself and the club. I'm starting to dislike him. I guess he'll finally get forced to rest when his frees against overtake his effective disposals. Not long now I suppose.

Hey EC .....what happened to your boy Lyons ......didn't you say one of our highest possession winners an playing well

Didn't i say "pre-game" he would be subbed for Grigg ......and that he was running around unaccountable

Lyons has a LONG WAY to go .......think he can still be a good player ......but he aint the golden child portrayed on this board ;)

Surely Kerridge should have come in too for Thompson.

What is being gained by playing an injured Thompson who has been largely ineffective with the use of the ball (ie. crap DE).

North must be loving that we left out Kerridge after his last BOG performances. Have we not heard of horses for courses?

I did a cartwheel when I didn't see Kerridge in the side. :p

I guess it's just Sloane for Lyons, happy with that. Porps, Jaensch and Shaw to be the emergencies, with maybe Wright as the sub?

I'm getting really sick of hearing this shit from Sando; it's pure lip service, and it angers me that he's either saying it anyway, or worries me that he's apparently that lacking in awareness and perception that he can't see it.

He has massive double standards amongst the playing list, and that's a big problem for a person in a leadership position.

Except he isn't clear and concise with what he words - and when he is, his actions don't reflect his words.

I am so sick of hearing about how great it is to have young players dominating in the SANFL (especially last year) and how fantastic it is that they're putting pressure on the incumbents - when they rarely get picked at the expense of the incumbents (and doing it now that the season is shot doesn't change that fact) unless it's through injury.

His message might be right, but his actions don't reflect it - and that's a problem.
just so wrong on so many levels :thumbsdown: ...... lets all be thankful you have no involvement with the club

The only guy I could see Porps replacing is McKernan, so we don't really lose anything there anyway. Don't think it'll happen though. Hendo, Wright and Sloaney are guarantees, so it's one of Shaw, Jaensch, McKernan or Porps to drop out.

Good to see Lyons drop out. I like what he offers the side, but he just can't run out games and his outside disposal is really iffy. Cue the Thommo haters to jump all over me and say that describes Thommo.

I would say that Jaensch has only been named due to Brown 'being sore' this week. Incase he doesnt get up, Jaensch to replace him as a small back.
At last rational thinker .......good logic & bats all the other emotional clap trap about Jaensch ......who i agree is a spud of a footballer

Keep dreamin'! Kerridge requesting a trade is about as likely as Boomer retiring before 40 years of age.

I wasn't dreaming, just said that suggestion sounded appealing.

Anyway, lads and lasses. Hope the rumble is a good one and the best team (hopefully mine) wins. :)

well said ....good observations

Sloane - Good.
Porplyzia - We SHOULD give him a couple of games in the SANFL.
Jaensch - No.
Shaw - What's he done at SANFL level to deserve selection yet?

WHAT ARE WE GAINING HAVING THOMPSON STILL IN THE TEAM? Hopefully its just Sloane for Lyons then. Underwhelming selections otherwise.

Pretty straight forward selections. After a game like the showdown where all played well its hard to just ommitt guys who didn't do anything wrong.

In a way its good to see Sando looking to keep trying to win. I could have realistically seen him dropping a few experienced players this week and go all out with young guys but it really wont make a difference come draft so might as well keep trying to win.

Because they didn't drop Thommo I can only assume his injury wont get any worse and will be fit come first week of November.
