Yea, AFGM, as one of your stronger supporters on here, I wish you'd cut that shit out. You're normally spot on with your observations, but have to throw a dig in there which distracts from them.

I didn't do that?

You said everyone was laughing at me, and that I hate the Club.

So you want everyone to respect your opinion, but insult others or trivialise their opinions based on hyperbole?

Lets just start a fresh and move on. To start.... how about the DRS? lol

Why do you constantly ruin some spot-on observations with this obsessive tearing down of a straw man you call the MOB? This petty point-scoring nyah nyah nyah stuff just undermines your posts. As far as I can see, many of the people you call the MOB would probably agree with you otherwise. Is it still all about Neil? I really don't get it.

I've never suggested that you or the King are part of the MOB.

My comments are designed to show that we have continued to do exactly the same as Neil was accused of (sometimes even more so) but many of the previous critics have been strangely silent. I had to put up with all of their rubbish in 2010 and 2011 so I will cease all references once the first ball is bounced in 2014.

Some of the so called MOB are consistent in many of their views (basically they are the exact opposites to AFC etc), it's the ones that screamed loudest in 2010/11 but have not said a word this year that I am aiming my comments at.:)

Aside from the rest of your self gratifying hyperbole the fact that you cant distinguish between 2011 and 2013 is quite humorous.

In 2013 we are challenging for the bottom four?

Please tell us what you think the key difference is (and then I will shoot it down in flames).

Yes, Wood Duck, you're one of the people I was referring to.

fact is every player deserving to play some AFL games has one so ......now the qty of games and timing may not have been to the liking of this board, BUT the club ALWAYS knows better than us when a player is ready

PLUS you can only have so many young players in a team at anytime :
Crouch ....likely 14 season games inc injury
Lyons ..... Currently 9 season games
Brown ..... Currently 17 season games
Kerridge ... Currently 8 season games
Laird .......... Currently 14 season games
Grigg .......... Currently 2 season games
Hartigan ....... Currently 1 season games

Don't care what people believe .... 7 first year players in a season ...and 4 playing most weeks is a positive for club development
Technically only Grigg, Hartigan, Laird & Crouch are first year players. Lyons, Brown & Kerridge all debuted last year.

Granted this is their first year as semi-established players, but it's not their first year playing in the big league.

How many players made their debut in 2011 or got picked with less than 5 games experience? I think the current coaching philosophy has been quite different to 2011. Thats not to say the wheels may not be falling off a bit now.

You should stop trying to be the ultra scary, uber intelligent BF enforcer, we all know how thats going to end.

I'm pretty disgusted with the selections this week.

Jaensch back in. How many chances does this guy get? Pathetic selection.
Jason Porplyzia. He's cooked. What on earth do we stand to gain from playing him again this year?
Sam Shaw. I like this player but his form in the SANFL since returning from injury is nowhere near the level needed.

Just absolutely shocking selections. As usual Kerridge seems to be the forgotten man, and Lyons gets dropped after having one bad game.
You do realise that Jaensch, Porps & Shaw were all named on the extended interchange. None of them are likely to make the final 22.

It's one change: Sloane <--> Lyons. That alone is a massive improvement to the team.

Are you suggesting that Lyons is a good player?

Meh. I'd take him as a small forward over Porplyzia at the moment.

Fair call. I take it the full squad gets announced thursdays with a final squad being announced on friday? Even so I don't like the thought of any of these players making the extended squad. Well at least Jaensch has been in good form. Naming Porps and Shaw on the other hand, doesn't make any sense at all, extended interchange or not.

Even if he halves his return for the remaining games he will have outpaced porplyzias season total and porplyzia is our 5th highest goal scorer, he'd have fair odds to catch up to 4th with the selectors his biggest obstacle, to say that being able to put it through the sticks is a need is an understatement lynch has 29 at the top and 10 of those from the one game jenkins 24 sidelined, danger 25 take those away dougies got 15 porps 13.
It's really simple he just takes the mark around 50 kicks the goal he has the attributes that's all, noone is saying he's the messiah he can simply kick the ball and mark it.

Kerridge from 8 games has 12, 6 in the one but not even a look in against that same side and he's in much better form then porps.
Generally I'd play a guy like that forward again not on hannebury, but hey who needs goals.

You can really only compare LJ's output over the next four games with Jenkins output this year, as LJ has replace Jenkins position. Lynch plays a high half forward role/third tall, not out of the square like LJ. I'd imagine lynch's stats (including goals) are right up the top for his role. Porpoise has suffered from not having tex there, he needs to get less attention from the opposition to shine.

There are four games left, if he halves last weeks return, thats 2 goals. 8 goals in 4 games plus 4 goals last week is equal to 12 goals. 1 less than porplyzia currently has...get your math right:D

Why do people suddenly think LJ is a good mark? watched him for a while, and he cant take a pack mark. He can take a mark on the lead

The meltdown on this board if LJ plays a horrible game will be something to watch

Why? We have a long list of players who have had extended runs of poor form. You think it would be fair to give Johnston the chop after one bad game when we've got players who have been stinking it up all season?

Yes, comparing players who have less than 5 games is fair:rolleyes:.

It's O.K. to let a KID rip it up in the SANFL for a couple of years but when we eventually play them (around about their 21st birthday) then we can say, gee another debutant. The fact that Mitch Grigg will be eligible for the rising star next year is nothing to brag about.

What we need to do is to get as many quality KIDS up to 50 games before their 21st birthday.

What a joke, Harper on AA...laughable double standards at selection.

I'd like them to tell Jacobs to win his position this week or gtfo.

Ditto Thompson but we know it won't happen.

Oh and dear Nathan has been superb...WTF.

So you are saying Grigg should have been played in the team this year?

I like those changes. Shaw is a player for the future and no McKernan. Lyons looks promising but is crying out for a good preseason, i reckon he'll make it his own next season and with Sloane going in for him... well sorry, i'd take Sloaney any day.

hasn't Shaw been ordinary in the SANFL??

He has been playing as a forward in Glenelgs structure, nobody looks good in that team. In saying that, even I would rather he played a stint in defence to get him right but you would feel Otten will play F50 all game with Shaw taking the third tall role in defense
