Good lord. Mind you if Harper said it its unlikely to happen. So were going one on one with Goldstein with a guy who was subbed last time out against him. Shaw hasn't earned his way back in, looks like a gold pass but at least hes a young guy. Otten to play forward on Hansen to stop the loose man.

I've never suggested that you or the King are part of the MOB.

My comments are designed to show that we have continued to do exactly the same as Neil was accused of (sometimes even more so) but many of the previous critics have been strangely silent. I had to put up with all of their rubbish in 2010 and 2011 so I will cease all references once the first ball is bounced in 2014.

Some of the so called MOB are consistent in many of their views (basically they are the exact opposites to AFC etc), it's the ones that screamed loudest in 2010/11 but have not said a word this year that I am aiming my comments at.:)

Answer this, do you think the 'Mob' started making those accusations about Neil Craig less than 12 months into his tenure as senior coach?

If you answer yes, you have lost all creditability as you would be wrong./

If you answer no, you have lost all creditability as you don't know have a foot to stand on as you don't have any basis for an argument.

Les me state this again as an life time member of 'The Mob' - the criticism about Neil Craig only started after the 2009 season when he would refuse to adapt his game plan to suit the players he had. He refused to look at the future and ran the squad into the ground. He refused to play any of the next generation of players we had on the list and played players well past their prime; ending in results we saw in 2010 and 2011.

Now, if Sando does the same and it looks like he is planning on doing that, the same criticism will return and the acid will be placed on him. If we miss the finals next year and we are still playing a few player who can not compete in the AFL anymore and refuse to play a new breed of Crows players, you will see that same pressure from the Mob getting applied.

You do understand this concept of time right? It's only been 12 months, Sando deserves some time.

So Sauce head to head with Goldstein for 100%.
Oh crap.

We would have been better of dropping Sauce & keeping McKernan if we only wanted 1 ruckman.

Massive massive gamble. Goldstein smashed Jacobs so badly last time we had to sub him out, we now no longer have that option.

I do like Shaw in but I thought it would be at the expense of Otten, I hope Shaw goes forward. I would have picked Kerridge though.

For those that listened to Harper, anyone question not playing Kerridge and Thommo instead?

The selectors have squibbed it again. Can't wait to watch Jacobs lumber around again this week. McKernan would've been far more value in ruck.

Rowey to Harper "why do certain midfielders get a game when they aren't performing"

Harper's reply "if they are bad enough often enough they won't"

Hmmm...ok Sauce and Scotty 19 strikes and you're out?

Jarryd...sorry we'll put you on the HFF graveyard, one or two average games...not good enough, see ya next year.

Oh and Sam (Kerridge) is real close, real close:rolleyes:

Oh and Shaw has been in great form for Glenelg:eek: Look, I'm happy Shaw is in based on potential and next year but don't spin some BS about his form!!

Not directly but certainly Thompson's selection and Kerridge' non-selection was strongly questioned.

Harper says Thompson not really hampered by any injury, just slightly out of form but working throughout with our (gun) coaches. Their first decision was do we play Thompson...they answered yes, so then decided who to drop for Sloane.

I wonder what Sam Kerridge is thinking?

In the last 6 weeks, he has played maybe 3 or 4 very good and was close to being BOG for Sturt and still can not even crack the emergencies.

It's not like we are winning and it's hard to change a winning side. We are losing and more than 5 or 6 players are losing there position most weeks.

If we don't make some drastic changes to the list in terms of player trades for next year, I can see Sando being in some trouble as he is giving way to much faith to some players. I read with amazement that Porplizia will get a contract next year.

That means, Ian Callinan is basically the only change from last years best 22. Let's see them give him a contract and lay the blame on this poor yer on good old Tippett. Nothing about the stupidity from the morons within the club.

Have you heard what's happening at Carlton? Have you heard what action Mick is preparing the squad and the fans for? And they can still make the eight!

Meanwhile, we're a mathematical chance to make ninth, if Jupiter aligns with planet Krypton while being passed by a flaming meteor..... And we're picking Porplyzia, leaving Kerridge to flounder in the SANFL, and signing Reilly up for another two seasons.

Thoughts?
Reilly has taken up the vitriol previously directed to Doughty .......seriously, like Doughty, he' no-where s bad as he's made out
He's made some of the worse decisions i have seen ......FFS .....BUT for the 20% bad, 80% was good and frankly his 8o% is still better than another players 100%

It's easy to say Kerridge in for Porps ......and yeah on paper right move ......BUT we don't know how Kerridge is travelling ATM

Goldstein has smashed Jacobs the last 2 times they have met, so this is a massive risk we did not need to take.

Meanwhile out BOG player from the last game against North can't even make the side...

Technically only Grigg, Hartigan, Laird & Crouch are first year players. Lyons, Brown & Kerridge all debuted last year.

Granted this is their first year as semi-established players, but it's not their first year playing in the big league.
1-2 games IMO doesn't count ......I knew that would be brought up

The only positive I see is finally having a fwd structure that does not revolve around a second ruck that can hold down a KP. That ship has sailed.

Kerridge has been in good SANFL form, Porps has been playing average AFL and played average for West last week.

But you are right, the selectors never ever get it wrong, so lets follow what they say

Another perplexing selection day for the AFC.

Jacobs has been smashed twice by Goldstein, so we take away the only support he has!

We bring in Shaw based on what? SANFL performance?

What does dropping Smack do for him? Confidence? Have they already put a line through him?

I think the Lyons out decision was ok. Although again, not sure what impact this will have on his confidence.

No Kerridge in sight? Maybe he's still tired and hasn't been training well.

Sam is thinking geez, first I showed them I can go forward as a tagger and still snag a couple of goals. Then I showed them that as an out and out small forward, I can tackle, read the ball off packs and snap great goals, take marks - kick 6 in a half.

But the week after I did that I got shifted to a midfield tagging role that I had barely played. The I was dropped.

All this from a team whose fwd line has been dysfunctional - hmmm I'm just feeling slightly confused . What's that? My manager is calling - hello? How much are they offering ? Ok get it done.

I actually thought Porps was good last week, far better than Jaensch who somehow got 3rd best in the paper. Having said that neither of them shouldve been anywhere near the squad and whilst im not too bothered to see Shaw in, why not pick CEY who can play the ole and has been in good form.

Shaw or Wright as the sub? We have a 100% record of giving the vest to 1 of the 4 blokes on the bench, and I can't imagine it being Henderson (or Sloane lol) so surely it has to be one of them. Both seem odd choices to be honest.

Certainly i have ......maybe they want to keep some balance between experience & young players

Well team announced .....Porps out and Shaw in .....yeah :D
That move by the selectors again in rushing Shaw in shows the esteem in which they hold this player ......and i concur, he'll be a ripper!!!!!

“Sam played really well in the SANFL last weekend. For him, it’s been more about getting his confidence back up to a point where he can really let loose. I think he’s been playing and training with a fair bit of caution since his return from injury, but he’s hit the ground running the past two weeks,” Sanderson said

Shaw for McKernan is just a bizarre decision.

It is bizarre but if Shaw had to come in, I'm glad it was for McKernan.

This would be pretty bloody frustrating to all those players who have shown consistent form in the SANFL. Since his return from injury, Shaw's disposal count has been in the single digits. Out of all our guys playing in the SANFL, his form has been the worst. It's a real head scratcher.

EDIT: Sando says Shaw's form in the SANFL has been good. He only got 5 kicks and 2 handballs in his last game. Am I missing something here?

Doesn't that indicate how the club views Shaw .......will be a star!!
