he has no fitness to play more than a half a game and provided very little in forward line pressure this week. I think a week out just to freshen up then straight back in. That's all I am suggesting.

needs a rest. why carry a player who can only play 50% 3 games in a row he has disappeared after half time.
And instead play guys who can only play 0% of the game?

Along with Smith, Cameron was the only other success story of the trip

I'm often unsure whether people want us to become a better team.

Its only to rest him up. not to discard him. he provided no forward line pressure after half time like he did the last 3 weeks. has no fitness. just needs a freshen up. I would rather he be rested after games like this and brought back after a week than wait until he provides nothing in a game and he gets banished to the reserves for 4 weeks.

so you would rather burn Cameron out and risk him providing nothing in any of the future games because that's the way its headed. he has had a good month but he really has only played well for a half in each of his follow up games after Collingwood and has disappeared. he has no tank. I am just suggesting we rest him for a match then bring him back in.

Mediocrity is our blanket, it's taken me 23 years to get here. Never try to lose, never, but plan ahead, that is all.
Why would they cause the supporters misery by not trying? Are we Melbourne or Carlton? Lets just do some good recruiting, look we got Charlie Cameron as a rookie so lets not go down that road.

has shown a lot in previous weeks and just had one bad game. Give him another week
Martin is not in our best 22 and nor is he a part of our future plans. When the pressure is truly on in finals time (like it was today) would you want him running back in defence? Lets bring in the future of our footy club, Matt Crouch and Grigg.

I haven't noticed him looking really ragged and spent.

I think he just plays a role that is hard to be active for 4 quarters.

Cameron stays. sub him out if we have to.

thought he did a few good courageous things in defence today.

didn't do enough overall this week. but I'd back him in over a number of others, purely because you know he wont take a backward step.

*not against bringing in both Crouch's or Grigg in his place. Just disagree with the questioning of his reliability.

Yer I know he did a few good things but for someone who is playing for his career, didn't do enough.

Has been ok at times however if we are serious about being a strong club well we need to pick players that have the potential to move us up the ladder

With this in mind Crouch brothers and Grigg must player before Martin, CEY should also get games before Martin to see what he can offer

CEY has a long way to go to go past Martin.

Reilly, Grigg and M Crouch in.

Lyons, CEY and Martin out.

Been very nervous about Dangers and Sloanes disposals of lately as they look like they spend their energy tickets way way too much.

Would like Danger to play a few games forward and left forward to "recover" from his injuries a bit.

Sloane moved to the HBF (Smith's role).

Smith moved into the midfield with Lyons.

Out:
- Rutten rested.
- Martin dropped.
- I know people won't like this but Jaensch dropped. He has a great penetrating kick but we can't afford a small defender who can't defend.
- CEY

In:
- Hartigan
- M. Crouch (B. Crouch should not be rushed back!)
- M. Grigg (His foot is lethal)
- Wright

FB: Brown Hartigan Otten
HB: Sloane Talia Laird
C: Mackay Thompson Douglas
HF: Cameron Tex Jenkins
FF: Betts Pods Danger

Foll: Jacobs Smith Lyons

Int: Kerridge, Grigg, M. Crouch
Sub: Wright

If we need more height back Pods can swing back and we will still have Danger, Jenkins and Tex forward.
Gives us players who don't just kick the ball as high as they can out of the midfield, Smith moves well, Lyons often gets clean hands, same as thompson, Douglas and McKay are quick with decent legs.
Sloane off the HBF would hate to lose no matter what and is a good intercept pass.

Looking forward to getting B. Crouch, Hendo, VB and Lynch back, also then filters back into the SANFL to give us a stronger side where we can play people in different positions.

When Danger and Sloane are back to fitness then move them back through the mids.
