We had 22 warriors last night. Not everyone played well but I am sure everyone gave 100%.


So it is hard to drop anyone. I not a rap for Adcock but he did his job last night. I still think Jong offers some positives yes I would like his decision making to be better and for him to get involved more.


Looks like Morris will fit I hope Roughy is o/k he must be sore gets battled every week.

Just wondering whether we bring in suckling and moyd yes it's a big game but it's followed by a 6 day break so is there any point playing them this week then they are a big chance to miss due to being sore again against the pies? Or bring them in fresh for the pies and run into finals, Bev said they both had niggling Achilles injuries.

Off the vfl game Webb and hrovat are both big chances to come in.

I'd do a straight swap Morris for Adcock if Morris is fit. Adcock played alright last night but is probably just keeping Moz's seat warm. That leaves Rat and Webb for Libba and Macrae.
Aerial capabality down back in the form of Fletch, Roughy, Wood and Moz is likely to be needed against the tall Norf fwds too.

God yeah, forgot about young Jed. Webb in for him is real possibility. Although Jed wasn't too bad.

Our focus from here on should be getting our list as fit as possible for the first week of finals. Anyone with the slightest niggle shouldn't be playing, even if we end up with a reserves side against north the result SIMPLY DOES NOT MATTER.

Stringer, Roughy, maybe JJ, and any lingering concerns on Moz Boyd and Suckling I wouldn't be risking.

I think that even though he doesnt deserve to come out, if moz is fit, cordy comes out. Either him or hamling.

We failed last time against north not having enough marking rargets up forward, so we probably need to retain one of hamling or cordy to play up forward or swing down back if necessary.

Moz cleans up our backline.

Imo i think webb is a good replacement for libba and the rat good for macrae. Kind of like for like - with less experience. Just question rats fitness over 4qtrs due to his layoff.

I think jong and adcock stay in. Bev will not drop them due to effort and reasonable showing against the cats.

Stevens is a worry. He didnt shoot for goal on a couple of occasions last night, and due to our forward issues, goals from midfield are like gold. He may already be out the door.

Finally, i am a massive fan of easton, but has anyone else noticed how he continuously just pumps the ball long inside 50 without looking. Defenders now wait for it and pick it off. It happens a alot now. Kills me.

No way should Adcock get dropped, he worked extremely hard. I actually think Steven's game was worse than Jong's and would be dropping him ahead of Jong, but obviously with Libba and Macrae out they're both going to have to play more midfield time.

I agree Webb looks to have earned a spot with his excellent VFL form but I'm worried that he hasn't been able to reproduce it when put into the seniors earlier in the season. I hope he's figured out how to adjust this time.

Longer term he should make a decent player. Just not expecting much from him this year.
