In: Tambling, Edwards, Cousins, Coughlan
Out: McMahon, Brown, Hislop, Connors

I tell you what Riewoldt is close to going back to the burgers, he needs to lift his work rate.

Some high risk in's there. Wouldn't bring both cuz and cogs back together. Not match fit either of them and they'd both only play 50% game time.

Out: Simmonds, Brown, Tuck, Hislop
In: Pattison, JON, Thomson, Coughlan

Reluctant to drop Hislop, but I want to give Thomson a go.

danog .... tuck !! one of our few who work all day. hislop ... shocking skills & should only be in for tackling. but someone has forgotten to tell him this. simmonds needs to pull his finger out, as much as i want patto in the side, its at chf not rucking.

out : hislop, the player formally known as roller
in : cogs, thomson

Re: Round 5 vs North

In:cogs, thomo, patto
out:brown, simmo, connors

next week there should be more changes

in:cotch, cuz, thursty(if fit)
out:mcmahon, hislop, bowden/moore(good, but thursty more skillfull than moore and taller than bowden)

Re: Round 5 vs North

My fear is having Cogs and Cuz on the pitch together and seeing both crocked by half time. Just imagine it.

That said if we could bet those 2 plus yound Cotch on and firing we would be a chance V anyone.

Re: Round 5 vs North

This is what I'd like to see this week:

Backs: Moore Mcguane Tambling

H/backs: Rance Shulz Polo

Centres: Collins Cogs Newman

H/f: Nahas Richo Bowden

Forwards: Jack Vickery Morton

Rucks: Gus Foley Deledio

I/C: Connors Mc Mahon Putt Tuck

In: Shulz, Tambo, Cogs, Putt, Vickery

Out: White, Jackson, Hislop, Brown and Simmo

It's time time churn this list and see what we've got. Out of the ommisions I reckon only White could fit into a 'contending' side so long as he stops finnessing and does what he does best and that is to run and carry. I also think Newman and Bowden must play up the ground or not at all. Both are too slow (reaction wise) to play on the backline but still have wonderful foot disposal.

Re: Round 5 vs North

North have some big mature bodied talls so:

Out: Brown, Hislop, Simmonds (yes he is big but so is a dinosaur)

In's:
Patto - More value around the ground and likely to do better at the centre bounces than Simmo anyway (with Snake's current poor form)

Schulz - We need to get an alternative tall target up forward, Richo 50/50 on the wing & at CHF... just Richo up forward would end up seeing him worn out & ganged up on as usual.

Coggs - We should make sure this gets the appropriate media buz... if we can't be inspired by a comeback by Coggs after almost 3 years out injured then we really do not have a pulse...

Re: Round 5 vs North

:)Kinda laughable that last week JON was being hailed as some sort of answer to our forward woes and many were calling for his inclusion.
A week on - and one embarrassing defeat later - there's no takers.

I'm convinced Schulz will be back. Face it, we need another tall forward and he looks the most likely (which scares me!)
I think if Pattison is ready, Simmonds must make way.
Thomson may replace Hislop.
Fingers crossed on Cousins and Cotchin, but think we're more likely to see Tambling return.
Would suggest Matty White is under the pump and will likely be culled and doubts over Brown.

What is actually wrong with Thursty at atm???

Patto needs to come in. Gives us so much more around the ground and puts his body on the line everytime.

Out:McMahon,Tuck,Brown,Simmonds,
In:Cogs,Cotchy,Post,Vickery
At least the kids will have a crack And Bowden is on the verge as well

Re: Round 5 vs North

I'm with Bigrayo, get Patto in. Always has a crack and will give us something. And Thursty.

I'd still like to see JON given a run, but unlikely.

Would still like to see Tambling remain at Coburg. Thomson in?

And good luck to Cogs if he gets in - fingers crossed for you buddy:thumbsu:

According to reports from the VFL game last week Will broke his arm, yet there was nothing on the injury update Tuesday night.

I'd like to see JON starting in the goal square. I remember when Geelong beat us by 26 goals, JON took quite a few strong marks leading up from Half Forward. If he is a decent kick at goal then why not give him a crack. I'd rather try him for a few games before putting Cleve back in.

Yeah that's what i heard and someone said 4 weeks. 4 weeks is a bit short for a broken arm lol. Maybe it wasn't because we haven't heard any news yet

IIRC JON broke his arm last year but managed to play on. Remember the guard he had on his forearm.

Re: Round 5 vs North

In the Rawlings report it says Thursfield "injured his arm but it was not severe"

Re: Round 5 vs North

Good news. Bring him in

Come on we are playing possibly the tallest side in the comp, and that would only make sense bringing in another tall defender. I expect Nahas or McUseless to line up on Drew Petrie or Hale come Saturday night:thumbsu:

Can see Hale dominating, basically Norths verions of Putt. We have no one to match up on him, closest would be Post at 194cm.

Yep I'm on him for the most goals kicked this round, hope I'm wrong and lose money FWIW
