Because Brant would have saved us against Freo....

Read the reviews of his performances in the WAFL thread, numbers aren't everything.

Would understand if our midfield was performing, but the facts are that we have one of the worst midfield brigades in the league at the minute. Simpsons solution the last couple of seasons seems to be to talk to them during the week and tell them how badly they performed, but continue playing them. Or drop Wellingham.

Colledge was named East Perth best player in almost all reviews of last weekends game and the weekend before, give him a go already.

Official: McInnes in for McGinnity (omitted). Bennell, Colledge, McGinnity emergencies.

So McInnes is in, McGinnity is out but in Brisbane, Cripps is still in but in Perth, Bennell is in Brisbane but not in, McGovern is in but may be out, and Colledge is not in

yep, I think it is to release Yeo to the midfield ... that is how I am reading it.
You are spot on.
Another player who has been in the backline for East Perth, (is quick and strong) has been told he is being moved to the midfield. Shows there is some overdue concern for what is happening in the M/F

Lol, we got rid of our paddlepop last year.

You guys should beat us pretty convincingly though.

So McInness to play down back to free up Yeo to spend more time in the midfield. Means someone like Masten or Wellingham to spend more time up forward doing the defensive tag that McGinnity was doing.

The statement has been made. "Colledge, if we lose by 10 goals this week and if you can get 50 touches in the WAFL you might be sub for our next game, or maybe not".

Wellingham is my choice of the two. More dangerous around goals, plus it gives him an accountable role to measure him against

Not sure about that. Like you guys we are in trouble with injuries.
West Coast has 6 players out who would normally be in the first 18
One of them are due back in around two weeks. After that, the next return is some five weeks away and that will be thru the reserves.

Unless they're a late out, players who are named on the field are rarely cut from the 25-man squad.

100% of players omitted named on extended bench this week. I'll get you next time gadget...

Well,
Happy that McGinnity is dropped.
Happy that Mcinnes is in.

Not happy that Colledge isn't in, hopefully he replaces Cripps if he is a late out.
