Feel bad for Biggs, I reckon he's extremely unlucky. As long as there's a strong message to him regarding what needs to be worked on to break back in, though, no huge issue.

Going in with three draftees is a pretty gutsy call.

Congratulations to McLean on his debut, though. He's a brilliant story. From not wanted at TAC Cup level to an AFL debut in 12 months. Amazing effort and a great example to all. Hope he kills it.

I reckon this is the fastest side we've named in a long time. All of Jong, Murphy, Johannisen, Wood, Hamling, Dale, Crameri, Stringer, Dale and Grant in the side.

We're going to struggle inside the contest with Picken and Bontempelli out, going up against the likes of Wines/Boak/Young, but we'll be pretty damn quick on the outside. Never thought I'd say that.

Wow stacked with forward line players! Looking forward to seeing McLean! Can't believe we've debuted 3 first year players already and it's not because we are going bad! And a fourth as emergency! Great signs. Do Port tag now Cornes has gone? Will be bloody tough in the middle without Picken and Bont. Wally or Macrae probably get some more attention without the Bont. Speaking of though I'm pretty excited to see Bont back after a two week rest! No expectations in this one except having a red hot go which we have done for 90% of the year so far.
Go Dogs!

Jake and Stew will need to have a few runs through the midfield.

Do you not think Biggs has been disappointing?

Bloody excited to see McLean play, he's my favourite of all the draftees. (Strange that that is an uncommon view on this board, he was our very first draft selection after all). He's that livewire small forward, Jamie Elliot type player that we've been missing - with Dickson pushing into the wing/midfield now, we don't really have any genuine small forwards as opposed to mid-forwards nowadays. I'm looking forward what havoc he can wreck with Rough and Boyd as big targets and him at their heels.

We often been accused of being "too inside". Let's see what "too outside" looks like!

He's had 1 game (his first for the club) and one quarter, in which I think he was good.

He hasn't had a chance to be disappointing yet.

We were speculating whether Stringer was carrying a minor groin strain. The week off (virus) would certainly help if it was the case. Looking forward to an exciting game from Jake this week.

Our challenge will be to get the ball down there often enough without Picken and Bonts in the midfield.

I think it's hard to get a gauge on outside half backs that have played two games, with one of those coming in a day that our defenders were constantly under siege; and the other one quarter in a game that was already won, with half the team mentally in the rooms. I don't think he's had much of an opportunity to prove his worth.

It could be that McLean becomes the player we thought we had in Hunter.

If McLean's career takes off it could be a good thing for Hunter despite the extra competition for a spot. He will be able to see at close quarters what being a successful young HFF really looks like.

Expect Crameri to player large chunks in the midfield with jake some time in their too based on Montis comments. Dale the sub for me. I want Rat to get a full game on ball. Really keen to see McLean! Kids a jet.

A third of the side has played less than a season's worth of games.
Fourteen players with less than fifty games.

If we snatch this one we're really going.

Didn't put this in, but if you take out the three most experienced players from each side, Port are two total games short from being twice as experienced as us.

You're 100% correct in saying that we're really going if we pinch this. It means something when 19 of your blokes have literally half the experience of the equivalent on the other team.
