and 5 goals kicked on him

Caracella did kick 5 goals but not all of them were kicked against Nicoski. Watching some highlights at least 1 was against Chick and I think another was from a free kick not caused by him.

I think it was a bit much of an ask to expect him to curb Caracella, while creating the run out of the backline that we usually get from Wirra. He did it well against the Saints when he had weaker opposition.

No way Lynch should be dropped. Ok, he makes some bonehead decisions at times and doesn't always hold what he should, but he's a big body and can take a pack mark. He's our enforcer, we need him out there.

Oh, and Staker should be promoted off the bench and into the starting 18.

Gun.

Agreed. Lynch also has a long way to go until he reaches the maximum level of stupidity. You only needed to watch Cameron Mooney's performance on the weekend to see that.

Out McConnell (has know had a taste of the bidg time)
Staker (Needs to have a greater presence as a KPP, still only 20
Wooden (Judds back, Butler developng youngster

In Judd, Wirra and Seaby

Lynch definitely needs to stay in the side. He will be another option for Tredrea as Hunter may be a little small and although Glass will probably be the first option, it is good to know that Lynch has the size and strength to go with Tredrea if need be.

Judd and Wirra to definitely come in with hopefully Seaby and McDougall.

Outs should be Staker, McConnell, Butler, and maybe Nicoski??

IN: Judd, Wirrpunda, Seaby
OUT: Staker, Wooden, McConnell/Butler

Why are people clamouring for McDougall's inclusion? From what I've heard, he's still not 100% and has done nothing to warrant a call-up.

What's the deal?

In: Judd, Wirra, Seaby
Out: Staker, Butler, McConnell

Wooden and Nicoski deserve another go. No way Lynch will be dropped.

Doogs has done nothing to warrant selection.

I would give Seaby a few weeks in the WAFL to prove his fitness. Every time he comes back into the team he does his hammy. Woosh isn't one for big changes and I think they will be kept to a minimum.

In: Judd, Wirrpunda
Out: McConnell, Wooden

Are you suggesing that Staker should be retained in the side?

Seriously, this guy is over.

If you don't think Seaby should get a run yet, that's fair enough. But Staker is done.

I'd rather see Rowan Jones play on a HFF than see Staker get another game.

Staker is done? I don't get what you mean. Should Staker be dropped he will be replaced by a tall. Rowan Jones is not a tall. Unfortunately McDougall, Gasper, Seaby, Graham are all injured or just coming back from injuries and are not ready to contribute at AFL level yet. I would rather have a player who is out of form than a guy who isn't fit.

Not necessarily.

That would be true if he were playing as a KPP. But he's not. At least not with any impact that we would struggle to replace. He's pinch-hit at CHF, but Hansen, Lynch and Gardiner (Seaby if included) are our best options up forward.

He's being used as a flanker and contributing absolutely nothing.

How many talls do you think you need in a team at once? We don't need another one sitting on the bench, and then embarassing himself when he comes on.

I see lots of people have fallen for Tony Shaw's opinion of Lynch.... He didn't have a bad game at all, and had he kicked the two goal from tight angles there'd be nothing whatsoever you could crucify him on (except that he's prime target #1 now Carroll's gone).

Staker needs to get his hands on the ball, and that will best happen at WAFL level, being dropped will be good for him. If Seaby is fully fit, then he should return, but only if fully fit

Nicoski would be stiff to be dropped for one ordinary game, but then he was dropped when playing well early in the season so who knows? Perhaps if the Eagles really want to run Wooden again this week you'd drop Nicoski instead.

Rowan Jones needs to be given a chance if a spot is available.

For mine:

Out: Staker, Wooden, McConnell
In: Seaby, Judd, Wirrpunda

Put R.Jones on the emergency list and bring him in if Seaby's not available. Jones's overhead marking allows him to play taller than he is, so its not too big a change in size of the team.

He's shown he can play at AFL level. I mean Staker did everything right in the WAFL to warrant a call-up and then was terrible when he came into the Eagles team. McDougall will be a lot more valuable than him. That said, McDougall should be given a few more games in the WAFL to get more fitness and then be brought in.

It's unreasonable to expect him to kick a huge bag playing for one of the worst teams in the WAFL.

Lynch will not go with Tredrea so forget that I think Cox may have to drift back if they get on a roll to help out.
Eagles by 49-60 if we are serious contenders for september Port are not in good form so they Essendon last wk LUCKY.

Rowan Jones deserves a chance as he is vice captain but for who ????

You are sadly mistaken if you think West Coast will win by that much. This looms as a danger game, irrespective of Port Adelaide's form.

I agree. Port always play well at subi. Tredrea is the key IMO, we don't really have a good match up for him. I guess Hunter gets the gig.

Shaw is an A grade throttler.

Gutsy player in his day but an utter failure as a coach and as a commentator / footy analyst.

I reckon Jones might get a call up if Wirra is still out. Hansen's and Gardy's Fitness will determine Staker / McDougall's fates.
