Well...:o

Headland and Hill are probably out with injury, maybe McPharlin as well. Of the rest, Dodd has to go, played the role of Lord Turnover with prescision again and Head is not for behind him, will probably keep his spot because the amount of injuries we have. Assuming Ballantyne is fit he must come in, Pearce also had a great game (26d) and Pratt was solid in defence.

In:
Ballantyne
Pearce
Pratt

Out:
Dodd
Hill (inj)
Headland (inj)

If McPharlin misses then Dodd keeps his spot. Everyone else has a 5 day turnaround because all WAFL matches are on Monday. :(

hard to say till we know about the injuries but it's time for Pearce to come in for Dodd. We just can't carry a guy that turns it over that much in todays footy. It's such a shame because he has a brilliant defensive game.
Anyone for Head.
Balla should play if he's fit. Sibosado as a roughy if Headland can't line up in the forward line and McPharlin is out. Clarke and Walters can't be too far away from a run.
Having bagged Head he did the best thing I've ever seen him do tonight when he ran down 2 guys and forced a turnover on the wing.

I watched the second half of Peel v Swans and Balla seemed to be giving Pratt a bath. I thought Hinkley was doing a reasonable job, so I'd take Hinkley over Pratt at this stage.

OUT;
Headland (inj), Hill(inj), Head
IN;
Ballantyne, Clarke, Walters

Actuaully Ballas did his calf today - so rule him out to I guess....who's left? Hinko to come back in then I guess?

Foster was okay....kicking a worry...we should be drafting players who can kick

Where is Brock Obrien?, haven't heard a thing about him for months; I really rate Brock and would love to see him in the side. Anyway my suggested changes would be:
Out: Head
Dodd (or McPharlin if injured)
Hill/Headland (surely one will be alright)

In: Ballantyne (hopefully is just a corky)
Pearce
Clarke

Don't think Balla 'did his calf' looked and was described as an impact injury/cork to his calf. If he does a bit of rehab through the night and week, he could well come up.
Thought Foster was pretty good too.

Out:

Head

Headland

Hill (rest regardless of injury. So frustrating though he was beginning to have a real impact in that 2nd quarter)

In:

Ballantyne

Pearce

Clarke

If we cant beat Richmond at home that says it all....time to bring in the young guys and give them some experience and make the others accountable.

Out: Mcpharlin (injured or not), Dodd (very average), Head (Not as bad but still very average), Hill (injured/rest), Headland (Inj)

In: Ballantyne (if fit), Pearce (elevated), Clarke, Pratt, Walters

Statement time after two very poor losses to two very poor teams.

I don't think this is the answer, Walters was quite lazy today and by Saturday Clarke won't have played for 4 weeks. We almost came back in the last quarter with no bench, and as poor as we played in the 3rd quarter, I don't think we should drop 4+ players.

Walters laid about 9 tackles and had about 15 touches and has been pretty consistent this year. Clarke should be given a go if fit but if not maybe Bradley should be called upon.

i was watching the game on channel 10 and you will ever believe what robert walls said. he said "joshua head is a beauitful kick of the football and looks a very good player
HAHAHAHHAHA
that guy has no idea and i think everyone here will agree with me

This board isn't exactly the home of the Josh Head fan club.

Yeah I posted something very similar in another thread Walls is a hack!

Do we have enough fit players to field a team next week?

Hasleby - proppy
Johnson - ankle (50-50)
Schammer - proppy
Palmer - season
McPharlin - 50-50 (cork I think?)
Crowley - season
Hayden - broken leg 2 months
Headland -hammy 3-4 weeks
Mayne - stress fractures 4-5 weeks
Bradley - knee 1-2 weeks
Drum - ???? but didn't play for Perth for 2 weeks
O'Brien - shoulder 3-4 weeks
Browne - personal problems ????
Ballantyne - calf 50-50

+ we basically only have players from Swans v Peel game to choose from as others are player on Monday, + whoever has the bye...Perth I think?

That leaves - Walters, Pratt, Hinkley? Pearce - but needs elevating.

Next month not looking good :(

Just watched Harvey's Media conference and i think he let slip about half way through that there will be 4 changes. And i gathered that Balla's injury was minor and i think he will Debut next week.

"We're going to lose some players for maybe substantial weeks from this," he said after the match.

"I'm not going to go into detail about how long it is, but you obviously saw the guys that couldn't come back on tonight.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/77901/default.aspx

But who was the 4th injured? Unless he means either Johnson or Hasleby?

Out:
Headland (quad)
Hill (cork/rest)
McPharlin (hip)

In:
Ballantyne
Clarke
Hinkley

Dunno who to come in, only one i'm certain on is my Buddy. The rest.... who knows which way Harvey and the selectors are going to go.

Correct and at the start of the year we all said that for has to have a semi decent year we would have to have no injuries.... guess what? Its only going to get tougher from here and i honestly don't see us winning next week which is a shame because i don't really like port.

Hall and Ruffles.

Hopefully they pull Clarke out of East Perth tomorrow

Out:
Hill (inj), Headland (inj), McPharlin (inj)

I'm assuming that these guys will all be out injured, while who knows how Johnson, Hasleby and Schammer are going to pull up.

In:
Hinkley, Ballantyne, Bradley (Clarke if Kepler is injured)

I think these guys are next in line, personally I don't know how I feel about Bradley though. But he offers more versatility, which I suppose would be like for like with McPharlin.

Other possible changes:
Campbell/Clarke/Gilmore/Murphy for Johnson
Pratt/Walters/Pearce/Gilmore for Schammer and Hasleby

I don't think we'll be seeing any players getting dropped this week, simply because we don't have anyone to replace them with. I also think people should start getting themselves ready for Gilmore to be named. Just as long as Murphy doesn't play.

And as good as it would be to see Ballantyne, Clarke, Pearce and Walters all coming in, I question how wise it is to debut 4 players in the one game. Suban and deBoer don't get enough of the ball as it is, and chances are the other four wont be huge ball winners either. It would put way too much pressure on the others.

Does anyone know what's going on with Drum? If he is fit, he would be an in for me this week. WAFL form means nothing with him, he seems to try harder at AFL level.

What happened to Hill? Must of missed when he got injured. Was it when that Richmond player's head went head on into his leg? If thats just a corkie then he could be back.

Yep that was it.

He didn't come out of the rooms for the rest of the game, so he would probably be in doubt for next week.
