I know some are calling for Petrenko to be dropped, but I enjoyed his game in that last quarter. He stood up, when the game was in limbo, and kicked a crucial goal giving us the pace we needed.

Obviously Callinan didn't have much of an impact, so perhaps he needs a few weeks in the SANFL to prove himself.
Regrettably, I also think Vince may need a reality check, after some poor mistakes.

I think dropping Stiffy may have been a mistake after his goal-haul of 7. I also hear Kerridge had an awesome game.

So,

OUT: Callinan, Vince
IN: Johncock, Riley or Kerridge.

Agree with those changes.

Unfortunately, Riley was quiet, so he will almost certainly not get picked. Is Brodie Smith returning? If so, who goes out for him?

I remember when he was first injured, they said should be ready to go for round three, but I've not since heard his progress. Hopefully he is ready for selection. Perhaps swaps with Otten?

Tambling, Kerridge

Won't happen though.

Been pleasantly suprised with Otten so far, has for the most part been very solid, Jaenschy out for Smith when he is eventually ready.

For me

Out: Nutta, Vince
In: Stiffy, Kerridge :thumbsu:

Apparently Riley blew a hamstring, so I think the odds on him playing next week would be fairly long.

I don't think Petrenko is any chance of getting dropped.

12 possies, 4 tackles and 2 goals playing his role is enough to get you a gig the next week.
None whatsoever. That was his best game in a very long time - probably since the first half of 2012.

I'm tipping just one change:
Jaensch <--> Smith

And that assumes that Smith is passed fit for duty. If Smith fails his fitness test then I'm tipping that the "No Changes" sign will get hung out this week.

Cmon. Callinan

Petrenko was one of our best today.

And what about Van Berlo? Does he get a week or two?
Shouldn't even be charged. MRP will review it - as they should, but there is no way that they can show any intent. He was clearly trying to punch the ball, which will remain compulsory while the umpires continue with their ridiculous way of interpreting the HTB rules. No intent & no other possible course of action = no case to answer.

Did Hamstring

I wouldn't quite go that far.. but he certainly wasn't amongst our worst and it was his best game for a long, long time.

Our best as I saw it:
Dangerfield, Thompson, Sloane, Jacobs, Douglas & JJ.

I hope Smith is coming back, because both Jaensch and Mackay were pretty handily beaten by their opponents today. I'd drop them both if we actually had two alternatives. How was Tambling in the SANFL?

Callinan was dire too, well out of form. Vince was ordinary.

Team's got issues right now.
