Douglas has put his hand up to play and will be available subject to medical clearance. Only changes I can see are Laird and Douggie in for Porps and ?. Guess it would have to be Shaw, but think the powers-that-be would want to see him again.
Reilly looked like he needed at least another run in the Magoos before being considered.

You thought Brodie Martin was good in this case?

Different positions but I would think they will be wary of playing Laird after only one hit out similar to how Crouch was brought in.

I like it if Douglas is available. Helps our chances a lot.

Sando needs to do one thing, and with Henderson out injured he has gave up on the idea pretty quickly, he needs to grow balls and find a replacement for brodie smith in our backline - whether it is Reilly, yolman, kerridge or L Thompson I don't care we need speed on the ball in the middle, and simply that's Brodie Smith!! Time to release the Smith!! People saying drop smack and Johnston, Jenkins couldn't out muscle a sanfl centre half back on Saturday to take a grab...

Douglas in for martin/porplyzia, and laird in for Lyons, which would free Brodie smith to the midfield.

Lyons was pretty good but might be squeezed out. All that matters really is Douglas IN. Will help a lot

I would like to officially apologise to Matthew Jaensch, his family, his many girlfriends and his workmates for the personal crusade I went on to crucify him, gut him and have him keel hauled after our loss to Geelong.

In my defence I had consumed quite a large amount of Coopers Clear and a lovely bottle of Pirrimimma Sparkling Shiraz for my wife's birthday - yes things got personal I said things I regret Matthew and I hope we can all just move on, however, Matthew if you are going to continue to make our first 22 could you please ask your boss to play you on the wing or around the half forward line for OHSW reasons, you cannot be expected to put up with my taunts, pathetic threats and abusive language next Saturday afternoon as your opposition kick goals over your head or you place a handball onto your mates chest just as Schultz and friends are about to consume them.

For those of you who I upset challenging Champion Data I apologise - but like that stubborn child at school secretly I still think MJ at 100% is BS.

I promise to drink a beer with anyone who would like to talk through my issues on the Hill Saturday afternoon.

mate, there is a lovely array of coopers' beers that would result in acceptance of your apology. i'm not sure that Clear is one of them.

LJ cleared by MRP. Free to play
I'm amazed they said it was because of insufficient force, he didn't even go in to bump him.. He was going down to pick the ball up and then saw the player coming in, nowhere to go and nothing he could do.. He actually did well to pull his body up a bit to not go through him..

Jon Ralph says confusing Round 1 precedent regarding Johnston..
This guy..

I know that DE isn't the be all and end all of guidelines, but not sure what more Matty Jaensch could do being at 100%. Lets give him a bit of a break. Also had 5 Rebound 50s, 4 I50, 3 tackles and 3 one percenters. Thats a fairly good game from Matty and shows that he worked both end of the grounds. Deserves his praise and stays in the team as I've said before.

Sammy Shaw another interesting one with a team high 7 one percenters. Just reinforces his defensive ability and reading of the play. Didnt do much else and went at 64% efficiency. I thought he had a pretty solid game until the 4th. In two minds about him atm but I think he stays based on us having no other options. Hartigan could come in, but I think that makes us too defensive with Talia and Rutten already in the side, at least Sam Shaw can take the ball forward and has somewhat of an attacking mindset.

happy with Jaensch's game, but i think the stats will always be misleading with him as long he continues to kick the ball to himself from a point, run 10-15 metres and then bomb the ball to a pack outside of the defensive 50. for that effort, i think he gets an effective kick and a rebound 50.

Ok If Douglas is right then he comes in for lyons or Martin leaning towards Lyons as a like for like. Dicky is such an important player
