Since when was logic apart of this board?I think part of the problem is we can't play all those guys in the same side. We still have Kerridge, Grigg, Brown and other young guys in so some are going to miss out. Remember Otten and lynch are still to come back as well as Walker soon enough.

I guess that's the just about the end of the line for Martin, unfortunately. I'll be surprised to see him make it back into the side. Lyons seems to have become his spiritual successor, too. The coaches just aren't impressed.
It's a pity how we handle some of these guys.
Excited to see Dougie back, however. He's always been a favourite of mine.
Why didn't we just trade Lyons? We're not prepared to give him a prolonged spell in the team, let's give him a chance at another club.
solid ins
great to see dougy back, reilly in was a bit of a surprise, how many trial games has he had? hopefully he slots straight in.
For me - just the two changes:
Out: Brodie Martin, Lyons
In: Richard Douglas, Reilly
Lineup is as follows:
FB: Brown Rutten Shaw
HB: Jaensch Talia Smith
C: Kerridge Thommo Sloane
HF: Douglas McKernan Porps
FF: Bets Pods Johnston
RR: Jacobs Crouch Danger
IC: Reilly, Grigg, Wright
Sub: Mackay
cheers mate, yeah sounds like he is good to goJust had a look, 2 trial games.
"Reilly suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in Round 14 last year. The 2012 All-Australian nominee has played two games for Adelaide’s SANFL team, amassing 34 possessions in the Club’s trial loss to Woodville-West Torrens last weekend."

If he was an outside mid, he would be playing every week atm. As you said, he's in a position that we are strong in.i just feel Lyons is the victim of having midfield in which its inside midfielders are its best midfielders.
Yeah, I'm not upset about the number of youngsters we're playing. I just think there are certain players we haven't done any favours to. Or maybe given too many favours to. It's hard to tell at this point. Martin has been in some weird purgatory situation where he can't get a game, even when we're shit and could probably afford to give him a 5 game stretch to prove himself, but hasn't been delisted either. Lyons looks like he'll be getting the same treatment.I think part of the problem is we can't play all those guys in the same side. We still have Kerridge, Grigg, Brown and other young guys in so some are going to miss out. Remember Otten and lynch are still to come back as well as Walker soon enough.

Not Porps as the sub? He's done alright as sub last year, and I think that's who we will pick anyway. Mackay didn't play badly last week. Was obvious this is what the club were doing.... And honestly its the right decision. Gives us a bit more experience in the back half with Radar replacing Lyons and Douglas is a huge improvement on Martin.
Now just to make Mackay the sub.
Wholeheartedly agree mate, well said. The thing is, young players not getting opportunites isn't our problem. Our problem is we don't have enough experience. We added some experience while still keeping plenty of youth in the side
Are we rushing Douglas back? If he is underdone this could be risky.
Wow I'm surprised. Around 20 posts and nobody is having a whine about Reilly being back in the team. He's not our whipping boy anymore?
